@Palette24carats You are not able to have an honest conversation. What would be fair is that controllers receive no aim assist at all. That wouldn't be good for the health of the game or sales.
What we're talking about is adjusting it, so that it's not so overpowered. There are lots of pros and streamers saying how over tuned it is. It's not just Apex either. It's Fortnite, Halo, COD, Destiny 2, and probably countless other games. If the games make it easier to play for people that are already comfortable with a controller, where is the incentive to use a mouse to improve?
Different technologies start off for one thing, but then get adapted to other uses all the time. That's such a bad faith argument saying a mouse was developed for web browsing. The mouse was invented first before the internet was a thing. Who cares though. It works well and is proven for FPS games.
