Toxic voice chat?
I like playing apex every now and then, I casually enjoy the game. I'm not the best, for sure. I don't aim to be either. But almost every play session some random dude goes off at me in the voice c...

It depends on the online experience and other aspects surrounding it. From my experience, most online games have an issue in one way or another when it comes down to toxicity.
Despite this, there is a solution. In Apex, go into the settings. Then under the main tab, you'll want to scroll down until you see "Communications Filter". Once you find it, switch it to "Friends Only", or "No One". This will either mute anyone not on your friends list automatically or everyone, (including your friends).
It does have a few issues, but its been working for me. These issues are:
- Players you manually unmuted tend to stay unmuted, (but if you get them as teammates again later, you can manually mute them and they will remain muted from then on).
- In Mixtape, it sometimes doesn't mute teammates who aren't on your squad, in which you may hear them talk or see their text chat after the match. (This happens because for some reason when a Mixtape match ends, it merges everyone who was on your team into the same communications channel). But, it does seem to have been fixed as I haven't had it happen in a while.
