Ttk changes apex legends

People troll other people because they want to make them the problem, if they can't figure out how to argue with a brain.

I'm for one not saying that this should be a one shot kill game, although truthfully those games would be fine with me, but that I agree that ttk is too, too long.

The main reason is it takes less firefight skill and better gear to win battles.  And right now, gear is a tossup so it feels really random.  That's aside from being good.

Some people are just good.  But those people also are losing battles they should win because somebody else found all the hot gear at random on the drop.

Firefights become less dramatic and more eye rolling when that happens.  You can make this game good by adjusting the ttk time, or by making loot at least better across the map.  Right now, it's a great game but ttk to me needs a massive improvement.

That is 100% not what people are saying. That is what YOU are making of it with your narrow minded tunnel vision about what 'YOU' want.

Once of the main complaints is that after being tactical and stealthy and flanking of surprising an enemy (which in ANY game is an advantage no matter the TTK) many tmes you can't get the kill.

IT ALREADY IT A TON DIFFERENT!!.  A change in TTK doesn't magically make this game the same as Fortnite!  It will actually make it more competitive.

To repeat for the 100th time.  It's just a tweak to TTK to make flanking tactics more successful.  Not 100% but just more.  THere can still be time to react.  Your cries contimually make is sound like people want inst-kills because you refuse to actually listen to what people want and simply start arguing and insulting people.

Why because it's a bad tactic to find a good stop for an ambush?  That' ridiculous dude. You're discrediting a whole style of play because you don't like it.

How about don't rush blindly around corners?  How about using your abilities to know where enemies are?  How about knowing when someone has been in the location and be careful.

To be fair it makes you sound like you just want 'easy' strolls through the maps without using any awareness at all?  How does that feel?

Out of 25 Mil players you really think onlt 100 are complaining about TTK?  Yes you are delusional.

Most people DO NOT come to the forums to complain OR defend.  Most of the people on forums are high level players or hardcore players who come here to give feedback and see the state of the game.

The majority of players are just playing.  So while there may be 1000 people on this forum who think the TTK is too long that easily translates into potential millions of people who don't like it and don't care to come here and complain.  I have 25+ years on gaming forums to tell me that's the reality of the situation. You only have your salt ridden limited view of what you see here.

I'm just going to leave it at this and not reply to you anymore because your stance on this is weak and narrow minded.

At the end of the day Respawn/EA has to respond to this.  It's too much of a hot topic here and Reddit not to get noticed.

The either double-down and supper the TTK with the acceptance that they are going to lose a lot of players after the novelty wears off AND convince EA that it's OK.

OR

They make a small enough change (NOT FRIGGING 1HK weapons you fool) where flanking or taking someone by surprise actually works most times (Except against a high skill player. Isn't that what you want) so that they can retain both their current 'supporting' player-base AND the influx of new player.

Non one wants to ruin your game dude.  That's your take on it because you're afraid of any change.  They just want * to feel good when they've make a good tactical choice.

I think the TTK is fine on most weapons, but SMGs (+RE-45) seriously need bigger mags. All of them. Except maaaybe the R99, purely due to the raw DPS on it. The problem is usually less about the time it takes to kill, and more the fact that if they're in purple armor, an SMG can't drop them in one mag if you have less than 60~% accuracy. And this is assuming you have the T3 ext. mag uprade. Just not enough damage per mag. This is not nearly as big of an issue on an assault rifle, since they're able to be used efficiently at mid-range, sometimes even long. Also more base damage. But having SMGs, made for close quarters, requiring a mid-battle reload to kill someone more often than not, even with an ext. mag upgrade, feels pretty bad. But that's just me.

Meanwhile, Peacekeeper/Wingman has way too much ammo in them, letting you down an entire full health, purple armor squad, solo, without reloading.

Example of the issue...

R-99 with purple mag can deal up to 360 damage

Wingman with purple deals 540 (also 2-2.5x headshot multi)

Peacekeeper deals 660

But yeah, I find the TTK on most weapons in a good spot. Damage potential per mag could use some tweaks though.

Looking at the raw numbers most of the weapons already have a theoretical kill time that's within the number of bullets in a clip, you just need to land them.

 

Take the R99 example - mag damage before any attachments is 216, so you can kill an epic or legendary armor wearer with a shot to spare.

The TTK is absolute trash in this game and is ruining what would otherwise be the best battle royale game I have played. Doesn't matter if you've been playing tactically all game. Doesn't matter that you got the jump on them. In my last match I unloaded 4 or 5 3 round burst Hemlock shots into an enemies back and it didn't even down him. It's really sad Respawn decided to go this route because Titanfall 2 was great. Extremely quick paced, fluid movement, and low TTK. I have been watching some popular streamers on Twitch who are infinitely better than myself at shooters struggling to adjust to this game because the TTK is just so ridiculous.

TTK is not only perfect, it's sheer utter genius because...

1. it makes combat more exciting to experience and spectate.. because people don't die in 2 seconds. watch shroud spray two clips into someone and tell me that's not the best looking, best feeling eye-candy in a battle royale. 

2. it makes the game more forgiving to learn for new/bad players, because they don't have to spend 15 minutes of looting to get only 3-8 seconds of combat (hello PUBG). THey are still going to die, but at least they can usually unload a clip or two before it happens, which is good practice. 

3. it encourages teamplay... because a great way to reduce TTK is to get 3 guns on an enemy instead of one

4. it raises the skillcap... if you are complaining about TTK because you want to run around and 1v3 teams, you just need to get better.. obviously it's not a problem for pro streamers.... having a higher skillcap gives the game more longevity and depth

5. The long TTK and the banner rez mechanic decreases RNG, which is a good thing... pro streamers are winning nearly *every* pubg game they play... which is how it should be. Because they don't get downed by a random dude that just got 2 lucky bullets into them in a 3rd party. This will set the game up for team ranked queues and esports.. which will both be awesome.

If you want lower TTK, go play PUBG or Fortnite.. We're happy with the long TTK here. THis game is friggin awesome.
