Unfair matchmaking in Ranked

The matchmaking system for ranked needs serious work. I'm currently in gold and after queuing forever I keep getting placed into lobbies with diamonds and apex predators making it really hard to progress further. I understand there is an exploit where if a high rank player joins a low rank squad mid-matchmaking they will be put into the lower rank lobbies, but I've also been put in games where the champion squad are all over 1100 RP while I'm at 300. 

The whole point of ranked is that you play against people of a similar level but that's just not the case in reality. Hopefully it will be revised soon...

    I’m Gold, and I’m put against Masters and Apex Predators every single game, and it’s not fair for someone who is nowhere near that skill level, making the game unenjoyable.

    @Mystic_Euphoria the thing is, sbmm is badly implemented (let’s agree on that), but even so, it first tries to put you in a lobby of a similarly RANKED (not skilled) people, but if there are not enough similarly ranked, it widens the search after some time because it’s trying to get you in the match sooner,
    if it was strictly set to only open a lobby if it finds enough equally ranked people you may as well wait forever

    while this should be okay if we speak about Gold (meaning there usually is enough Gold players online) you have to keep in mind this works for Master and Predators too

    so, if a Predator starts a game and the system can’t find enough Predators for an entire lobby, after some time it will allow the Predators to join a lobby with lower ranks

    otherwise the Predators would sometimes have to wait for hours in order to get into a match

    does that make sense?
