Unfair matchmaking
I just started the game a couple of days ago. Yesterday (2019.04.09.) something happened with the matching, and the teams were balanced. It was so much fun to play. We played 4-5 matches, and it star...
@d3adc3II KDR is a good idea, survival time and wins not so much. Someone that plays hide n seek all game can last until the very last second. Someone that has skilled friends that carry them all the time will have a higher winrate.
Best idea I think would be accuracy, how many shots hit Vs shots missed.

Ya I totally understand that you value kills over win, survival time. But there are alot of other ppl dun think the same way. Diff people have diff playstyle, you can play for kills, someone else can play for win. Nothing's wrong with that.
That's why ranking should be calculated based on all factors: KDA, Survival time and win.
Btw, I'm against the trend of dropping Skulltown every game. This trend will harm the game in long run 🙂
And it's still flawed, so whats the point?
All that arsing around and for what? to make experienced vets feel better? cause they hope they wont go against a pro? give me a break.
Separate the noobs from the experienced and no lifers and be done with it. No complex *, nobody needs that.
Because it can be manipulated, non of that * really relates to skill anyway and it will go up and down like a yoyo.
Keep it simple, it keeps the queue times quick, so yes separate those by level/rank, newbies will always be in the level <50 range and you'll keep them away from the * show when the start the game.
Experienced and no lifers rank groups can be changed as the game grows.
Laugh all you want, your draft as you call it, should have been scrapped before it came into existence on this forum, it won't ever work as you hope it will and is just a futile exercise, nevermind a waste of both resources & time.

That's why I think accuracy is the most effective way of judging player's skill. Shots hit Vs shots missed, missing shots is never a viable playstyle and players that miss a lot should be separated from players that hit more shots.
matchmaking is absolutely needed. But there is one thing i would like to add.
option too choose from :
- ranked matchmaking (when champions feel competitive, this should give higher and better rewards)
- no ranked matchmaking (when champions feel like some fun games, with lower rewards than ranked matchmaking)
I dont think we should go from no ranked matchmaking at all too only ranked matchmaking, give people a choice.
just my 2 cents.
I was thinking about something similar - but my suggestion would go in a completely different direction.
As many people seems to whine about having to play with lower level players (assumingly) not skilled enough to spend five minutes in a game with them...simply add something easy like:
- Add me into the next free squad
- Add me only into squads with players from lvl x to lvl y
Whilst
- option number one won't have delay in getting into a new match (as many of the casuals just want to play a couple of games and stop afterwards because they have more important things to do in their life)...
- option number two adds the risks that people have to wait for a couple of minutes until a fitting squad is available...
I think - that's just fair in the end. Players willing to spend their time with noobs/newbys/casual players get some sort of reward for doing it, whilst people, choosing option 2...can play with people of her kind...but won't have priority in match making as the system can't match them anymore random.
Edit: This can then also be used as some kind of matchmaking...in iteration...as long as the player base is high enough.
@MekaDeth555
I dun think so. Because:
- Accuracy varies greatly depending on weapon type. For example: A wingman,peackeeper-only user has the accuracy rating much higher than Spitfire user. It's very normal due to the nature of weapon use.
- In some cases, you purposely shoot the enemy from far distance for different purposes, not necessary to get a kill ( buy times for squadmate to heal up?).
- Imagine peole are afraid of shooting from distance because it will affect the rank.
just my 2 cents
Honestly the discord was on the right track from day 1: Adr - Average Damage Dealt. Total damage done / games played. Tho i'd add a caveat of maybe calculating that damage based on "possible damage before death" or something. Also factoring in survival time for those that like hot drops.
Then you're laughing alone, as nowhere did i say rank relates to skill.
* skill.
Rank relates simply to experience, rank increases as you play, so does your experience. duh, it's as simple as that. People who have just got the game have ZERO experience and should never be put with those that have 100+ hours of experience and rarely with those of 50 and above.
