I don't understand how people think wattson is in a good place, she has probably the lowest pick rate, even in ALGS, she is hardly picked.Caustic is just the more logical pick, he deals more damage, has offensive and defensive capabilities, more high reward while being easier to use, his traps can't be seen from across the map, unlike wattsons fences.If you places fences with wattson without connecting them you can places 2, then have to wait a minute before you can place another, cautic can drop 3 traps in quick succession, and has to wait 25 seconds.Your constantly trying to collect ultimate accelerants with wattson, I don't think a legend sound have to rely on a map pick up that you find by chance, to use the kit to its fully potential.I really think she needs some buffs or a rework.Caustic can be so agressive with his kit, I think wattson would benefit from some abilities that help her with offensive play instead of limiting her to only being useful inside of buildings, I feel like the maps don't fit to wattsons kit at all, yes you could set up in a room, but who wants to sit in a room for 15 minutes hoping someone might come so you can use your kit, when you can pick caustic and be affective in the open and locking down buildings

@Ironflower196 No, her fences do not stun. They only slow, and they only have 25 health which is painful for her kit. She needs them to have 50 health for them to be effective again because Caustic gas destroys a fence in two ticks now instead of 4. She's not quite in a good spot yet, plus the devs are specifically bullying her since she made the meta camping for a few seasons.

Stats only paint half a picture.They know that wattson is only really picked in high level play. And they don't want to change her incase they ruin pro play. @Ironflower196Win rates are irrelevant... you take someone like Backoffmyjankz they can win 5 games with horizon with #1 win rate and you can put him on rampart with one of the smallest win rates and hes still going to win the game regardless because hes just that good at the game period, he doesn’t even need to use abilities at all because he has that good of aim and is smart enough to have good positioning and rotationswhich is what we were saying, wattsons kit is not good... yes we may get a win on wattson occasionally but we can do that on any other legend in the game, Wattson is in need of a rework or at least some buffs because of Caustic’s gas trap damage buffs, Fuse’s tactical and grenade spam, and she relys too much on her ult leaving her fences defenseless whenever she runs out of ultimate accelerants

When every single match is stacked with Caustics, Revenants, and Octanes, Wattson just cannot win as a legend. She has no defense or mobility. She doesn't even offer the team anything outside of her ultimate, which is a liability for projectile tacticals and ultimates anyway. If someone on the team is going to pick a defender, there is currently absolutely no reason they should be picking Wattson. None.

@JimmyLad993 Wattsons win rate is top 5 she may not be fun but there is no denying she can win games for you. She is way more useful in the open than Caustic because she is small and just needs to get cover to drop her pylon and neutralize grenades, ults, and tacticals while recharging shield. You can use her offensively by locking ppl in a building.

@JimmyLad993 Lol then I guess skill paints the other half because Wattson is a lot harder to master, but more rewarding. They try to balance Bloodhound is picked a lot more than Wattson, so is Octane both aren't winners though, so they kept getting buffs.
Wow a patch of gas that can be avoided and canisters that are easy to destroy and if they pop only last seconds. As opposed to a pylon that neutralizes everything including that gas ult and canisters. Not to mention a smaller character that is harder to hit as opposed to a sumo sized grim reaper.

@JimmyLad993I also don’t agree wattsons in a good place, I love playing her but her kit isn’t that good... i love her ult but her fences are too easily destroyed, take too long to set up, and don’t do any damage compared to caustics that does a higher damage per tick damage and also you can see her fences from across the entire map... not to mention she still has low profile...
i want low profile removed the game honestly, Imo wattson and lifeline don’t need it because there kits need reworked and pathfinder/wraith don’t need it anymore because they had their hit box sizes increased
i also agree the maps don’t suit wattson’s kit because 95% of the buildings have a canister or barely any space between the door frame and outer wall so its easy for enemy teams to just shoot her fence in front of the door at an angle and walk right in even if you have the whole room full of fences

Caustics gas isn't easy to avoid all the time, if you've taken cover in the open and he throws it you take damage and are slowed then forced to move into the open, and can easily get beamed, paired with a horizon ult, your in for a bad time.
Wattsons fences are easy to destroy if you block a door in most cases if a enemy opens the door they can easily get a line of sight to shoot them, caustic can block the door from being opened and if placed right and the doors opened the trap will set off straight away.
Wattsons fences you can spot from across the map, and if someone walks through them the damage is nothing compared to gas, also if Gibby throws his dome in the line of the fences It blocks them leaving a team free to push past them, making her fences useless, caustics gas destroys her fences to.
Yes he's big but he also takes less damage, wattson is smaller but takes more damage so if your half decent at hitting your shots it makes no difference.

@JimmyLad993 Hitbox size definitely does make a difference. Wattson in a no abilities 1v1 would smoke a Caustic. He can't even peak without a quarter of his hitbox being visible first.

@JimmyLad993 I find Wattson very fun to play, but i would want her fences to be up a little faster or charge two at a time.

And her ult should only recharge shield of teammates and do shield dmg to enemies.

@JimmyLad993 Caustic can also hurt his team I've been locked out of our buildings and gas has cut off my sight to the enemy. Where wattson doesn't do that.
Also Caustic runs out of canisters, wattson can spam her ult which once again recharges shields and negates everything thrown at you. Doesn't her fences do 15 damage now and stun not slow thats more than 2 tics of Caustic damage
Also 20 percent damage difference is not enough to cover shots hitting because Caustic is almost twice as big as wattson

@Red_Fox_Skulk You're right sorry it feels more like a stun but it is just a slow. They have picked on her for being an extreme camper as well, but they tried to make up for it by increased damage of her fence. I'm fine with a small buff like that, I just don't think they should reverse her back to the must pick or rework her into a more aggressive character. Some thing I would like to point out tho is how her pick rate shoots up for LTMs. Specifically for the ones with limited resources as well as like the winter express. I love playing her in these modes she is invaluable in them. I am sorry she is not a fun pick in pubs tho, but they really should work on rampart. Atleast wattson is a winner.
