Wattson in a good place ?!
I don't understand how people think wattson is in a good place, she has probably the lowest pick rate, even in ALGS, she is hardly picked. Caustic is just the more logical pick, he deals more damage...

@Ironflower196Its not 100% logical. Because the stats for wattson reflect mostly high level play. Below that her pick rate is non existent.
There no doubt she's a good legend, but for normal play, her kit can be underwhelming, especially with the new maps. So the stats are slightly one sided.
Caustic is the closest to compare her to, hes pick massively across the board, and in most situations he's much more useful.
Do me a favour play wattson for half a day, and caustic for half a day and see who you feel you get your money's worth with the most.
You said yourself you've played watton very little that in itself says a lot.
Her fences are easily destroyed with a painfully slow cooldown, and extremely situational on the new maps.
Her ultimate is good but you rely on accelerants and it doesn't always stop grenades depending on where you place it, and you rely on her ultimate also for her kit to work to its full potential
He is overall a more useful and stronger legend. I guarantee you if so many noobs didn't pick caustic his win rate would be just as high if not higher than wattson
@JimmyLad993 This is gonna be my last comment on here, I'm really tired of repeating myself. It's not 100 percent logical but it's what makes the most sense. Wattson isn't a pubs character the only time I have enjoyed playing her in pubs is going hot in frag on worlds edge. Caustic is my 2nd most played character, probably my favorite, but I'm not playing him for several reasons map's, no squad, and I am really into fuse he may be my new favorite character. But yes I agree Caustic is more useful and more fun. So I'm not gonna even try to do as you ask and play wattson for half a day. However like I mentioned before wattson dominates ltms with limited resources and her pickrate and value shoot through the roof. I really enjoy her in these game modes and I love her in the winter express I would like more modes like this. Fast paced and legends like rampart and wattson aren't just thrown aside and I can put those cute little * to work and feel accomplished. I wouldn't mind increased hp for fences maybe a sec or 2 shaved off the fences but idk about that. Someone has to be at the bottom but I feel wattson makes a perfect bottom bit because she isn't really fun to play but has a high skill ceiling and can be extremely rewarding, and rampart is really at the bottom. That's why I don't really want to see her change much.

She's not a ranked character either. When every single match is stacked with Caustics, Revenants, and Octanes, Wattson just cannot win as a legend. She has no defense or mobility. She doesn't even offer the team anything outside of her ultimate, which is a liability for projectile tacticals and ultimates anyway. If someone on the team is going to pick a defender, there is currently absolutely no reason they should be picking Wattson. None.
@SugaryJuiceThats the truth, her ultimate is nice but other than that her entire kit needs a rework her fences are absolutely useless as soon as her ultimate expires and even with her ultimate they can usually destroy it or shoot the fences at different angles from outside

And also you'll see by the quote of the dev I posted, that she drops of at even the highest level of play, so where does she fit in then?
If you agree caustic is more useful and fun why are you so opposed to some wattson changes ? I don't understand. Maybe you just don't want a legend that similar, that's up to his level or surpasses him?
Where did you get the stats her pick rate goes up in LTMs? Could you share a link I've never read that. Either way,
Not sure how you can justify the fact her pick rate goes up on LTMs makes her in a good spot, winter express was more caustic express, it was plastered with gas cans every time you landed and yes there was a few wattsons, but your forgetting also you had a premade loadout so every character pick rate will of jumped up if they had a popular loadout on that day, can't justify keepeing her the same when there's multiple factors to it. And how often do LTMs happen?
Her fences where useless in that game mode, people spawned with multiple grenades, Her fences just got melted.
If you've used all your fences it takes her a minute to build one fence again, shave 1 or 2 seconds? 58 second wait still ? Great improvement 😂 @JimmyLad993The only time wattson was great during the winter express was when she had a decent loadout I did good with her when I either had the flatline loadout or the eva 8/g7scout loadout and I think about the spitfire one too but that was mainly because of their optics
her pylon was good for blocking grenade spam but her fences were useless people would always destroy her fences
Caustic on the other hand dominated the event, the only problem I had using caustic was trying to place down gas canisters while the train was still in motion so they wouldn’t go where I wanted them without trying 2-3 times
- @TheApexLegendNub I honestly think people think wattson is better than she is, and all people really can back it up with is her win rate.
Her fence cool down is so slow and you cant fence properly without her ult anyway. There easily destroyed. And a lot of the time, you probably going to get yourself killed if you try fencing when you need it because it's just nowhere near as simple and easy and throwing a gas trap.
I'd go as far as to say she's one of the weakest legends in the game, maybe in pro play it's different buts that's maybe 1% of players if that ? And they play the game completely different to the majority of us.
I'd just like to see her more on par with caustic and the very least. There both meant to be able to do a similar job after all - @JimmyLad993 That really is the issue, wattson was an amazing legend when she was first released... 3 pylons, 20 fence damage, etc and not many legends in the game to counter her except caustic but overtime she just got nerfed and nerfed and more legends/maps were added to the game so she just isn’t good anymore... this isn’t to say she is completely useless but like you said I have almost died trying to replace a fence in front of a door countless times while caustic can just simply chuck gas canisters wherever he wants them to go a wattson must physically go there and 80-90% of the time you can only place one fence peice and have to wait 20 seconds to finish your fence... I just think its ridiculous caustic gets a new cannister faster than wattson gets 1 fence peice when she needs at least 2 of them to do anything at all
