Smurfs as in high-ranking players making new accounts to...feel good about themselves? You know, those pathetic losers who can only have fun beating up on us mediocre players by smurfing.
Yet another night, more level 20-30 players with hundreds of kills who have somehow memorized the entire map and all the weapons already. Smurfs galore. I played my two games (both times killed by a team with a smurf in it). (edit) Just thought "what the hell, let's try to end on a positive note" and went for a 3rd game. A level 28 player with 270 kills was on the team that killed us this time.
Please do something about the smurfs, Respawn. We need a way for you to ban smurfs, and prevent new ones from being made. Lock down accounts somehow, please.
These are very obvious smurfs, they put their level badge in along with the big damage/kill badges that they got from killing players in bronze. If you're level 25 with 200-300 kills, you're not a new player to Apex and it's very, very obvious.
Ran into more today. Does reporting them do anything, or does Respawn allow/encourage smurfing to ruin the SBMM? Can people be banned for it? I'd really appreciate hearing Respawn's position on the huge smurfing problem.
