@LuxorFPSFor me I paid very close attention to arena in general. I kept up with how many people played the ranked version of it which is a decent indication of how many people play arena.
So each season there would only have 18k people sometimes who have played ranked in arena. Last season had 6.8m who had played BR ranked enough to make it out of participation matches. I ignore rookie ranks in both modes as that could indicate that they played placement and then did not try it again or they are still in the participation phase.
For me, I look at that like it was a game mode for about 0.3% of the population give or take.
You can't get a proper picture only from Ranked mode, since Arenas ranked system wasn't really good thing to play, especialy in the late seasons against cheaters. Of course BR is much more popular, because it's the core of Apex, the main gamemode. But it gets boring over time, and players need something else to play. That's why we're getting LTMs, That's why Mixtape exist. But none of these is even close in terms of popularity, Three Strikes being an only expection. Try to search Arenas on this forum, or Apex reddit, you're gonna see a load of posts about how people miss it, and even how many players quit the game because it's gone. The main problem with Arenas was the poor development, which is the problem of the entire game these days. It's the same thing, absolutely identical pattern, but in the much bigger scale. That shows Respawn can't learn from their mistskes, and the same thing that happened to Arenas, is about to happen to the Apex itself.
- @E9ine_AC It was a disgusting game mode because it catered to aim assistance abusers 100x. That’s the reason the pros never played it and the reason they never will play it. If the devs didn’t actually had competitive integrity and fixed the disgustingly over powered aim assistance then arenas would have been bigger than the BR itself
You still crying about aim assist? Honestly have a day off man haha. Most didn't enjoy it because they preferred the BR playstyle over the 3v3 arena and the fact that certain guns and legends were OP. For example one team having Lifeline with gold res and the other having no medics.
- @Tspin There was no aim assist on mmk maybe roller but then again there still is its part of the game its is the best game mode if u dont like it then dont play it whhen they bring it back in S20 for us of ik of many pro players grinding for pred in aremas and br
Well we want arena pubs Back not ranked. Easy bring IT Back on its own gamemode and keep mixtape Also. Easiest solution. Dont understand why they removed IT, they should just bring mixtape in pool and leave arenas
