Weekly LTM Rotations
I think a good idea to allow more ways to play Apex Legends is to rotate LTMS weekly sometime in the future. So for one week there would be Apex Solos, the next week Winter Express, the next week Sh...
I agree this should be a thing and I like this idea.
It will not happen for one reason. That is because respawn is lazy and frankly does not care.
If they do this, then they will have to some up with something new for events. Which takes effort, which they will never do. There has been no REAL new LTM stuff. Also they will have to put in the effort to make a weekly rotation thing, which again takes effort, which they will never do. It is very clear that respawn is trying to put as little effort into the game as possible, while maximizing profit.
My theory is they are working on a new game. They are putting all energy into that and let APex slowly fizzle out and degrade. Then the new game will come out, pulling all apex players to the new game in hopes of a better time.

Well, from what they said, the reason is that LTMs don't have good player retention. It's good for the first few days, but then the player numbers drop off.
So, I guess their solution to this, is forcing us to either: play the LTM (regardless if we like it or not), play Ranked, or just not play for 2 weeks. They're going to do this in the upcoming Collection Event. And I see that backfiring pretty nicely. Lol.
Also, as far as the player retention thing goes, I kind of can see why that is. I mean, as someone who really loved Shadow Royale, I felt like I couldn't play it very much. The reason being was, Pretty much anything I did in that game mode didn't count toward my Battle Pass or Event Rewards. So I felt like I either had to choose between playing the cool limited time mode, and ignoring those things, or making progress on those things and ignoring the mode. I chose the latter.
Lastly, as far as what the OP is talking about, I personally do like the idea, barring the holiday modes. I feel those should be left for the holidays. But if they can find a way to better integrate LTMs into the game on a more frequent basis, and make it so that the things we do in those LTMs reward us XP/Stars/whatever, on a more consistent basis, then I would be all for them rotating out those modes every week or two. It would be a nice way to keep things a little fresh. Add a little variety, you know?
