What I think is a solution to the XIM adapter users and the no cross-progression

Adding keyboard and mouse support to console, but matching keyboard and mouse players with other keyboard and mouse players. Once Apex figures out how to detect XIM adapter users, this would be the best thing to do with them in my opinion. The reason that this could be a solution/alternative to the cross-progress that can't be done "due to the way systems were set up early on" which "can't [be] reconciled after the fact." is that most people switch from console to PC because of two reasons: one is that all of their friends play on PC and there's no cross-platform. This will be resolved pretty soon as cross-platform was just announced in the EA Play Live yesterday. The other reason is that console users want to play using a keyboard and mouse. Of course right now to do this the only options are to switch to PC and lose your $400 since week 1 account, or to play using a XIM adapter. Personally I have this problem and planned on getting a XIM adapter until I found out that Apex does not condone the use of them. I believe that keyboard and mouse support for console would resolve both of these issues not entirely but in most cases. Once cross-platform is added, console players would be able to play on a keyboard and mouse and against keyboard and mouse players. The last thing would just be that PC players using controller should have the option to play against controller players. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

  • @ChisaiNiSora I agree with this, although I would first bring the banhammer down on all those abusing third party mods, XIM, mouse and keyboard, strike pack, and all other mods to artificially raise their advantage over others.

Putting a fix in place is no longer good enough, because these clowns have run rampant on console for over a year with no repercussions, knowing that what they do is wrong and negatively impacts the enjoyment and self esteem of all normal, law-abiding players, casuals, newbies etc. They know they're breaking rules, they gloat about it and share tips and settings for their hacks and mods online all day every day.

Hardware ban all of them, and then we can go back to playing the game with pure euphoria and watching the forums fill up to the * brim with little boy's tears.

  • @littlxr I strongly agree with you, players who have been using M&K and "tricking" their PC into thinking they're using controller so that they get the added aim assist should also be hardware banned.
