You have a 4k badge, playing in silver and are upset that you got two bad teammates? Yes, the ranked system is bad but you are not a victim here. Its as much a problem that you play in silver as it is that silvers are teamed with rookies.
Noone likes getting bad teammates. Even with a 4k badge, it just means the better players have to work all the much harder to to achieve their goals. It isn't exactly a fair match up to get stuck with weaker players or smurfs.
Weaker players can't really hold their own and smurfs intentionally throw games and do limited damage to keep in those easy zones.
Me being a less than average player usually get stuck with one good player and a second that's just as bad as I am while the opposite team has smurfs and diamond.
Even with the good player my team is at a huge disadvantage, I wouldn't wish that kind of aggravation on any player. So IMO he's kind of in the right to be upset.

Sure, ofc no one 'like" getting bad teammates. I just think its a bit silly to be a 4k dmg player in silver and complain about bad teammates since 99% of your teammates SHOULD be much worse than you. 4k dmg players belong in Diamond+. I am ex master with 4ks on most my legends I play and whenever I play in silver, I ofc assume that my teammates in fact are silver skilled: I think it would be silly of me to assume and demand that my teammates also are ex masters who also got reset to silver by the (stupid) system.
But just like @Sofistes_mnt, it the system fault. The ranked design for Apex ranked is actually so bad. The RP gain/loss design for low-to-mid elo, like bronze to gold, rewards too much RPs for not doing "good things" in the game which in turn ofc will keep promoting players that are bad at doing "good things" way above their suitable rank (with good things I mean things in game that makes a good Apex player =)
I would not be surprised at all if its possible to rank all the way from Bronze4 to Gold4 just by landing solo right in the middle of the map and then crouch and AFK until dead, match after match. It might take a while but in the end I think I would have a positive RP gain just from placement and team participation kills by my two teammates and THIS is not a good thing for a ranked system.

@BalladalidilaDidn't the rank system just get reset? I'm not 100 % sure on how qualification matches work but I've so far been placed in broze after them. Do not all players start back in bronze when they reset?
As for the 4k you're probably right about how he doesn't belong in silver because of it. I don't know how long someone's had to have played to get that much kills, but I would assume you'd have to be pretty good at the game by now.(I read the 4k wrong at first, the words are so small)

No, you move back 6 places. So if you were Diamond I you start at Plat III.
