Where is the smoke disable exploit HOTFIX !?!?!?

Today, I've run into two squads who are shooting me perfectly through smoke with R-301s and Spitfires -- guns that can't have digital threat mounted. Clearly this is because they are using the particle-effects-disable exploit..

Please Respawn... this is absolutely game breaking...  I feel like I have to turn off smoke myself just to not get killed by these cheaters, but then I'd be using the exploit, which I don't want to do. It's no win. Fix it.
