@Balladalidila "Good players usually dont even bother but just insta-leaves (which I guess can be seen as toxic but actually is a pre-emptive measure to NOT become toxic)"
Exactly what i do to prevent getting banned since i started playing.
A huge portion of the rage is bcs of the more than poor mate matching. They could use the tons of metadata they collect to actually match working teams (similar fav dropspots, playstyle, ect.), the question is ... why dont they do it ? Do they want you to be enraged ?
If i see "below 100 kill mates" i just quit ... no offense but it just doesnt work out, the "weightclass" is just off.

@r1ggedgame I agree the poor matchmaking plays a big part in player toxicity, but it seems a poor excuse for those players who do stick with their teams to yell at them and curse them out because they aren't at the same level as the rest of the lobby.
Playing ranked arenas however, you get penalized for leaving, and loose points if you don't win, no matter how well you yourself do in the match.
I bet if they changed the ranking system up a bit, and based points more on how well you do as a player than how your team does as a whole would help a lot with that.
The good players still wouldn't want to be stuck with a weaker team, but there would be more incentive for them to keep trying than for them to think 'I'm gonna lose points anyway with this trashy team so I'm going to game throw" -which is literally how one of my matches went this week when myself and a teammate didn't live up to the thirds expectations.

@XxColdFangxX2 warnings and not a single ban in 2.5 years of Apex.
If someone uses swearwords aimed at me , i just wish him a nice vacation from apex and press report ...
The Reporting system works really well in that regard : someone using the R Word , go report it , will def. bring the toxic guy 1 week on the bench ! We tried it and it works 100%.
But since ppl think the reporting tool doesnt work, those toxic comments go unreported. Mostly due to the cheat reporting , which doesnt really seem to be processed. - 4 years ago@r1ggedgame Oh I do. I don't tolerate it in the slightest, even if I am the weak link in the team, it's downright unnecessary.
