@778eddie Well since they will for sure have the capability and skill to stop it. The question is more why do they tolerate it.
I think it will be the same reason why fortnight when they fought against it were very careful. We need to understand the scale of Cronus etc users. That’s why fortnight didn’t permaban them, they did give them warnings when they booted the game with Cronus plugged in to unplug it. Furthermore people received only 2-4 week bans… wich considering that it’s cheating just as much as normal software cheats… is very telling about the amount of people actually using theese kind of devices…
So respawn will have a similar issue, if they act against it and permaban everyone that uses it, they might end up banning a significant amount of their controllerplayers especially in higher mmr brackets.
On top of that ea is still on stock market, removing half their controller playerbase doesn’t really sound so good as a buisnessmodel 🙂
