Why is apex always giving me lifeline when somebody takes my character?!

If your main is taken then it auto selects your next best legend. I'm not sure what stats define that next legend selection though. I my case I main Wraith, and it's auto Octane 2nd and Bloodhound 3rd.

The only way around this is to choose the legend you want  to play, when your turn comes. 

Sorry but are you seriously making an issue of something you have full control of? It's quite simple, be active and pick your character or deal with it picking for you. People complain about so much pointless stuff when there's worse issues.. 

@OldTreeCreeper I think it goes by kills.

When someone takes the legend, I get set as Wraith. When Wraith gets taken, I get Valkyrie, and then when Wraith and Valkyrie get taken, I get Lifeline. I'll also get Valkyrie if Lifeline and Wraith get taken, and Wraith if Lifeline and Valkyrie get taken.

Kills on Wraith: 3,717
Kills on Valkyrie: 3,554
Kills on Lifeline: 1,795

Back when the game first came out, I was mainly Wraith or Pathfinder, and when those got taken, I was given a random legend. Either they recently changed it to where you'll at least get your "next best legend", or it has always been that way.

I'll know if its kill based when I get Valkyrie's kills to surpass Wraith's.

Yeah definitely seems to go by kills, I've heard a while back that this was the case (not sure where) and it's been pretty consistent from what I've heard from others.

(Still would like to see a favourite system or something like it)

@OldTreeCreeper If this is the case that would explain why they put me on Gibraltar whenever my legend is taken now. Was this a recent change though? The game used to throw me on Wraith or Pathfinder and I wouidn't be surprised if my kills are in the single digits with those two. I hate both Legends and never pick em.

From personal experience, it does that because you have a lot of kills for her.

What i mean by that is this:

i have five main legends

Lifeline (237 kills)

BloodHound (86 Kills)

Bangalore (53 Kills)

Mirage (38 kills)

Caustic(36 Kills)

if i want to choose Bloodhound but someone chooses them before me it'll automatically put me on Lifeline. If i wanna go for Bangalore but she gets taken i get with either Bloodhound or Lifeline etc etc

God forbid we ask for a simple feature like “select 2nd favorite” instead of them choosing for you? Did you stop and think a little deeper than surface level and realize: maybe we dont like the original legends we were forced to main and build stats on till they dropped a new legend many seasons later?
