A lot of different factors can cause sound issues as mentioned. Sometimes on the game's end and sometimes on the user's end. Fixing audio is not as simple as going in and altering things here or there. Some things can be altered here and there but not everything is easily accessed. When it comes to audio inside the game there is no side department of code I guess you could call it to go alter. Audio is built into the game engine itself (Some of it) which makes changing or altering existing issues quite hard.
As for no reg, this is not something I can really say much about. It normally depends on the player's ping. There are games that run Client Side hit registration which is more susceptible for hacking, other games use server-side hit registration which puts a big load on the servers themselves. It also is not a simple snap of the fingers fix.
We need better servers, netcode, audio system, matchmaking, etc. but we got stickers instead. Sigh. I understand that these things take time and they're not an easy fix, but its also disappointing that its not getting the attention it needs and the players are only told its them, their systems, their connections, yet every other game works just fine.
