Why is the matchmaking so messed up?
Can someone explain to me why the matchmaking is so jacked up? It makes no sense how I get matched with level 20-50 players and the champion has people that are actually their skill level. Kinda mess...

Why are pubs being regulated the same as ranked? What is the point of having two separate modes with the same matchmaking?
17 Seasons of steady K:D and win rate improvement, only to be put up against non-stop lobbies of equally-skilled or better-skilled players in the name of equity. Haven't seen stats like these since Season 1.
So if we're good at the game, we get the same level of satisfaction as someone who is a beginner. Doesn't matter if you're better than 99% of the players when you are only allowed to face the top 1%.
The implementation of this matchmaking system has been the first time I've not enjoyed Apex pubs. What's the point in playing pubs if it's just ranked without the credit?

- @Twizted3k_tv Basically its when you have people who breathe, eat, and sleep Apex in the same lobby as someone who is only on for a few minutes to a few hours a day.
In other words, its like putting the top ranking player into a match with players who are playing casually or are new to the game. The pred is going to wipe the whole floor with everyone because in terms of skills, they're 100x better than everyone else.
The matchmaking needs to be fair in all modes, but pubs doesn't have a fair matchmaking, it mixes players way too much, and ranked doesn't care if you're new to the game or not.

- @Twizted3k_tv We must have different lobbies because pubs looks like all the sweats who don't wanna go pro, (play rank), and cheaters/smurfs who are below level 50 curb stomp everyone, and then rank is everyone who went pro and cheaters/smurfs who got above level 50 because the anti-cheat doesn't work and allowed it. Reguardless of the mode, my teammates are almost always bots, or at least plays like a bot.
So wait, you're upset because you can't win fights against people at your skill level, and you want to be able to fight against players who are new/worse at the game? LMAO
Weird take. While you're laughing, explain why pubs should be regulated the same as ranked, and why there should be two separate modes.
In all fairness I can see your point but in a way if any of the two modes should have MMR removed it should be Ranked as the idea of a rank system is you play everyone at your best level which at the moment that feels like its happening from your placement matches, bizarre system IMO. They could of fixed this by just not having people drop back into placements at the start of every season instead maintain your rank, unless you don't play for a while which it would then degrade. This is my opinion though but its surely a better allround rank system than what we've got right now.
I have no faith in the MMR system in the first place with my past experience with ranked arena. It was the most stressfull game for me since quitting overwatch for apex. I used to be top 500 in overwatch and 99% percentile in apex ranked. I used to love apex ranked cuz it lets you slay through all the rank, only one rank (that is diamond if you are master)you actuially have to grind hard. It was a much more efficient algorithm to rank the players. Now i guess its the Playing Time KPI have trapped them all. you have to grind from rookie and play master level games since the beginning, which is exactly how ranked arena worked back then. The rank hardly represents you skill and you know you mmr is hight cuz you are matched with pred 3 stacks. Only catch is that it`s no longer a zero sum game when it comes to battle royale. So devs don`t have the backfire as hard.
- @Twizted3k_tv Completely agree with this, why should we work so hard to become a top 1% player just to be matched up against every other 1% player and basically get 2-3 kills max every game
