Why is the ranked based off placement and not kills? SO Stupid.
The fact that placement out scores kills to me is the stupidest thing a shooting game can ever have in ranked. Thoughts?

@SwaTSNiper242 then i wonder how you can get +600 RP when you only get 125 Points for a win. Placement matters but it clearly doensnt outscore kills as you describe.
Placement still matters more, without placement your kills do not mean a thing, it is not the placement RP that matters all that much (does not hurt though) it is the KP modifier for higher placement that maximizes the RP if you have KP.
Math 101 time:
1st place gets you 125 RP and a 25 RP modifier for each kill, lets say you win and have 8 kills that would be 200 for the kills +125 = 325
2nd place gets you 95 RP and a 23 RP modifier for each kill, lets say place 2nd and have 8 kills that would be 184 for the kills +95 = 279
5th place gets you 45 RP and a 16 RP modifier for each kill, lets say you place 5th have 8 kills that would be 128 for the kills +45 = 173
10th place gets you 10 RP and a 10 RP modifier for each kill, lets say you place 10th and have 8 kills that would be 80 for the kills +10 = 90
14th place gets you 0 RP and a 1 RP modifier for each kill, lets say you place 14th and have 8 kills that would be 8 for the kills + 0 = 8
Placement is what really matters with KP to go along with it. 15 kills can land you in 14th place still and you end up with 15 RP that kinda hurts when you could place higher with that same amount of kills and get 375 RP out of that due to the 25 per kill mod + the 125 for winning to boot (500 RP).

@Asmodeus566the nice thing about math is, i can use it too to prove my point :
10 kills for 5th 160+45 makes 205 and the 1st got 175 Points with 2 Kills which is a very likely scenario, equals kills outscore placement.

In the End, its a Battle Royal and the Point System was changed to fit the game type.
Before you could play it as TDM and get decent points no matter the placement,
now you have to play it as a BR otherwise you wont profit until a certain placement threshold is reached.

i dont see where 175 points for 1st outscores 205 points for 5th place.
Placement only matters until you reached the threshold, then you can score higher with more kills than somebody placed higher with less kills. so placement isnt really greater as KP as you describe.
Would be nice to have the numbers on how many 2nd placed got more RP than the actual winner of the round.
