Wraith Hitbox

I will never understand why a Legend like Wraith has the smallest Hitbox ingame.

Whats the Reason about that ?

If 2 Legends fight against, one is Bangalore and the other is Wraith and both are equal in skill, Wraith will be the Winner cause she is very hard to hit, much harder than Bangalore (or other Legends).

In the Past if she got 15% more dmg, it was more balanced than it is now.

Wraith is the only Legend i have trouble to hit.

In most of the fights against a Wraith i * up cause i cant hit her... it is so frustrating to lose against another player only cause he is so small that my average aim cant hit him...

There are different Legends with different sizes in the game, ok, the biggest has fortified (better than nothing), but the other Legends could be much more balanced if they made the hitboxes near the same size...

So many ppl choose Wraith only cause she is hard to hit and the most of us know that i am true ...

100% agree. There is no reason for legends to be different sizes at all, let alone for there to be so much variation in size between them. If Caustic and Gibby get a 10% damage buff then why shouldn't Wraith get a 10% damage nerf? If anyone can explain that to me I'd love to hear it.
  • Its a hero shooter and i feel they want to add a special ability to her that is based on her size. She is not that Op either way. Mist of the time u fight a wraith i don’t understand how a minuscule issue like a smaller hit-box (albeit barely) adds to a difficulty or unfairness. It is easy to counter just aim a bit lower. I barely use wraith and its mostly streamer solo runners so it is not a big issue in my opinion.

@mburgos031 I no loner think about it but there are a few issues with it. Only focusing on the two I care about here:

#1. The smaller you are the more likely your opponent is to miss you. As the movement skill of the player increases the greater this difference is shown. I don't care how great your movement is I'm unlikely to miss many shots on Gibraltar so his best bet at survival is tanking hits (which he does irritatingly well.)

#2. The smaller you are the less likely you are to be targeted in an ambush or third party situation. Playing as Gibraltar during the first few seasons I seemed to be everyone first target in an ambush. When I was forced to play as Lifeline I was surprised when an ambushing team didn't immediately drop me only to see that our team's Gibraltar was on the ground. Bigger target = more likely to be targeted.

If Wraith is no issue for you then you either have above average aim or only fight the majority of mediocre Wraiths.

Quoting out of some random tweet which was based off the season one standard hitbox jpeg (which I can't link to because technilogically inept):

"Based on Sookiespy's hitbox images, Legend hitbox areas are:

    Wraith: 33 cm2
    Lifeline: 37 cm2 (+12%)
    Bloodhound: same as Lifeline
    Mirage: 44 cm2 (+33%)
    Bangalore: same as Mirage
    Pathfinder: 63 cm2 (+90%)
    Caustic: 68 cm2 (+105%)
    Gibraltar: 79 cm2 (+140%)"

No doubt hitboxes have changed over the seasons, but the changes have been small, so I'm assuming these numbers are still relevant if not completely accurate. Leaving aside that both Wraith and Lifeline are arguably too small... why is it that this game needs a legend who is half the size, or less than half the size, of the three biggest? (And incidentally, why do two of three biggest get damage reduction while Pathfinder is left to twist in the wind (as always)?

@reconzero Unfortunately there are no up to date hitbox statistics, as respawn and or EA has not made it outlive knowledge at any point. From those statistic, either gibby and caustic need a sea of hitbox area, or pathfinder needs fixing. Obviously the latter is the solution, as gibby and caustic are already ginormous.
  • She was even smaller before in earlier seasons. Season 8 she got a bigger hitbox, her naruto run is also gone, changes to tactical, ultimate has also made her more balanced.

But I have a tip how to deal with those sweaty wraith mains.

Spitfire and purple mag. 50 rounds of close your eyes and miss half you magasine and its still a walk in the park. You can also use two if your really evil.

Then play Caustic, Gibby or Newcastle and they will cry there way back to the lobby.

    Goodluck legend you got this!
