I'm getting tried of running BEHIND cover, and players - usually on console - are given free shots, because the servers are so bad, they're not in sync and would register hits landed on people behind cover.
I'm even getting the issue where I would shoot at someone, miss shots, reload my gun, and that person would get knocked, saying I somehow was the one who knocked them, while I was RELOADING after MISSING most of the shots. How is this even possible, and why isn't it getting fixed? Or simply, I see the hit markers, hear the bullets land, and no damage markers show up - only for the player to tap the trigger button for a nano second, and I'm instantly knocked.
I suppose player's pings are an issue as well, but its mainly the server, considering its throwing people out randomly, and punishing them, acting like the player left of their own free will, it sounds more of a server issue. So, I don't wanna hear about "checking our connections". It also shows that EA/Respawn doesn't care, considering these kinds of threads are either heavily ignored or deleted.

The Problems With Apex - Quit Ignoring EA/Respawn
I used to think "Man... why did that random get so toxic over a game?" and "Why did that person leave, even though we had the fight under control?" Well... in short: trash matchmaking + cheaters/smurphs + bad servers = toxic & DCing players.
People don't wanna deal with cheaters, they don't wanna deal with smurphs, they don't want noob teammates on their team, or even solo/duo players either. Most don't want ANY console players in their PC lobbies as well. I sure don't want them, because most of them just use strikepacks, and the anti-cheat doesn't care, even though these players have zero recoil, aimbot, etc.
The game also is too focused on "team based" gameplay, that it keeps expecting teamwork from players who have zero intentions of working as a team.
Control - as crazy as it was, allowed players to actually have a fun gamemode to play - even if cheaters and smurphs bombarded most of the lobbies. (I would constantly get 3-7 smurphs on the enemy team, with a few aimbotting and wall hacking).
Other problems with the game, is the audio. No one wants to play a game where they get dunked on because they got ZERO audio cues of players rushing behind them. I've watched a Wraith (who wasn't phasing), zip up a zipline, and empty a FULL devotion mag into me (we were point blank), and all of it had no audio. All I heard was my armor cracking, and me getting knocked.
The game needs a better anti-cheat, better servers, better smurphing/cheating preventions (or shove these people into their own lobbies, so the rest of us can actually ENJOY the game), better audio (and less wall-hacking type legends. Like for real... Seer didn't even need to exist. We all know legends like Seer got added, because no one knows how audio works, so they added these legends to "work around" the problem).
The list goes on, and on, I don't need to go into the gun or legend meta either, (like how the Rampage and Wingman are OP and getting heavily abused when used by preds/cheaters, and how the Wingman is being used as a dual wielding gun. While some cheaters are using legend abilities with no cooldown. Had a Pathfinder grapple over and over again without touching the ground, and even had chased a Wraith who phased 3 times in a row (without exploiting a bug).
Its tiresome EA/Respawn
Servers were terrible to tonight - after watching bullets somehow go right through enemies at point blank range I had to quit. what a waste of time.

Pathfinder - Ran behind COVER
Rampart - "Knocks" Pathfinder before Sheila even charges up to fire
This is why people leave matches early, cheat, etc. because playing legit isn't worth it in the s l i g h t e s t.
Oh and notice the top right? May not have the detailed server info, but guess what? No player error icons - that's the server, and the fact that its allowing high ping players the ability to break and abuse it without bothering to check shots.
My random teammate shouldn't of gotten killed in this situation. Even to my perspective - Pathfinder was NOT lagging. The servers just decided it didn't wanna properly update on the other player's end or something. I don't know, but its not our connection like EA claims it to be.

I used a shield Battery, i saw that my shield was full loaded and died with 1 shot cause at my enemys screen my shield was not full...
But your Pathfinder pinged an enemy above him and it could be that he get killed from behind and not from rampart?
We dont see the kill screen.- Midnight97464 years agoHero+@Bronsn
Enemy team:
- Rampart (Alive)
- Seer (Knocked)
- Horizon (Dead)
The first floating ping you see, is when I pinged Seer right before I went down. I knew Rampart was above us (because I dropped down to avoid Sheila), so when I pingged again, the first ping didn't go away, since it pinged an enemy. You can ping multiple enemies, and the ping won't update locations unless you reping the same person. At least that's what it sometimes does for me.

I am not arguing that stuff like this doesnt happens quite a lot in this game nor am I defending Respawn for allowing it ( or blaming them either because I cant since I lack any data to base a counter-argument on) but its has actually nothing to do with the server quality but simply is how the game is designed. You can read about it here under the section "I am being killed while behind a door/wall, and sometimes I roll back to my previous position."

And actually; the "shoot-behind-the-corner effect in your clip is not even that bad. If you look at the images below, you can even see in the first frame when the Pathfinder took damage that he clearly was in line of sight. Just look at the bullet trace lines from Sheila; even if it isn't even shooting very close to the corner of the cover, it actually intersecs the Pathfinders leg. So even if it looks kinda weird from your POV, the Pathfinder, just based on basic geometrics, must be well in line of sight of the Sheila bullets when they appear on your screen..
And everything else that appears weird like him dying behind the cover but leaving a death box out in the open and the Sheila sound fx starting so late is just a natural consequence of what is explained in the article of the link above.. I mean, before stuff happens at your screen, the thing that caused it must have happened and that data must first be sent to the server and then to you for it to appear on your screen so the Pathfinder could clearly have been in Ramparts line of sight the entire spray on the attackers screen.

@BalladalidilaOh I see... yeah that makes a bit more sense. I have no idea why my box popped up where Pathfinder was as well. My box should of stayed where I was, not move closer.
Based on what you've said, when I saw this (right after Pathfinder got hit in the leg) he must of still been out in the open to the Rampart, as here he still has some health.
Then he just pops right into a deathbox. Whats a little bit confusing, is that the bullet marker curves up into the deathbox.
