I do not wait for the prompt, it never even apperead, I tried it many times. But while mashing my E button, I don't seem to do it. Do you ahve to aim a specific way or something?
Try aiming up when jumping off it then aim back on the zip line, idk maybe latest patch fixed it i haven't played for 2 days
