I have been gaining only 12 AP every match i win and losing 12 AP every match i lose. My friend (who is the same rank) is gaining 20/30+ every match we win even if i had beter stats i still only get 12 AP is this glitched or just Apex being annoying?
Yes me too, nearly end of this season and I get -12 to -17 a loss and about the same for a win. My friends joined me and get over 100 for a win, so one was bronze the other silver too now both are gold and I'm still silver... it's super frustrating.
It's just broken, it doesn't work like they suggest. I understand what they are trying to do which would be good but to reward my friends 100+ points more than my 12 to 15 per match is just broken even if there was a skill gap between us.
Yeah it makes no sense ☹️ I was silver 1 my friends got to gold and even gold 2 and I'm still on silver, played the same matches... soon I won't be able to play with them any more..
Sorry for the die hard arena fans out there but I just think that arenas was a rushed mode in response to the popularity of Valorant for Respawn/EA to have piece of the pie of that popular game mode.
Is it possible to just get rid of ranked arenas permanently now that Control is here? The RP system is broken, the matchmaking is broken because not enough people are playing it and there’s no chance that there will be a pro scene in arenas. So either get rid of pub arenas or ranked arenas.
So just want to say this entire ranked system is broke and doesn’t make sense. I landed silver 4 lost a bunch of games and went from getting 150AP per game to 12 and dropped down to silver 3. I started playing with my friend who was gold at the time and he was getting around 100 AP per game and we went on a hot win streak and he landed plat by the time I landed silver 1 and he only plays ranked arena with me. Currently I’m gold 3. Also top damage or in the top 2 of most damage dealt in the entire game. I barely lose and I lose about 12 AP a game now and get about anywhere from 23-30 AP a game even if I go on a win streak I can get less AP, I haven’t yet reached anywhere near 100 or what any of my friends are getting. Something doesn’t add up
You are of course right, the ranked arenas is broke and has been since it came out. For the current season I have heard of people winning all of their placement matches with good kill and damage counts and getting placed in Bronze 4. while others have gone 5W/5L or 7W/3L and placed in silver or higher. That is the first thing broken.
The totally arbitrary awarding of AP is also broken and no matter how well a single player does if their random teammates let them down or cause a loss their is no reward just loss of AP. this has happened to me get 9 kills and over 3k dmg and loss the match because one can not carry all the weight while your teammates combine for 3 kills and less than 1k damage.
The best thing to do as a player at this point is to use arena's as a better firing range to warm up and then move on to duo's, Pub BR or ranked BR.

Its not that I am a fanboy of arenas but I think arena is a whole lot of fun when you play with a premade, I dont enjoy it as a random. But the RP system is just not working well at the moment and control cant be served as ranked mode in any competetive aspect if you dont have a 9 man premade. I do like that we have two ranked modes, Idd rather they make a scrollbar for more modes hehe. Control is just a way of getting chaotic gun action, I can like that too but for sitting down and actually trying to be serious with your team only BR and Arena works for that. From a soloplayers perspective I hear you @Cheese9Man then I agree as both control and BR are much better then arena, but from a premade perspective I favor BR and Arena over control in fun and focus. For ranked I dont mind having a mode for Arena as it caters to some people and arena is an easy mode to cater to esports for.
Not true because I’ve been getting +12 every game since d3 while my friends in my game with me are gaining 80-60 per game in diamond were all diamond going against the same players but gaining different amounts
this is a lie… Im stuck in bronze 3 and play with my Gold 1+ friends… I outscore them, out kill them, and still only get between 12-17ap when they get 79+ in the same match…..
This is broken, and needs fixed asap.
