Owning the final reward but not the event

Hi guys ,I have a weird questions, I own the Ash heirloom but right now there is a retropack event in the store with the final reward being the heirloom set.What would happend if I buy the hole collection?It says that "any sun squad collection event item already owned will be replaced with an item of equal value" I tried creating a ticket on this but cannot for the love of god get the option on the site and the bot says I will get heirloom shards but not sure I should belive it. So I came here for help
