@Koochi-Q We have another devote member to the cause!!! 👿
@hhnbbfggty66 Congratulations on finding solace in DOOM and i'm sure i can speak on behalf of all our fellow brethren that we welcome you with open arms! (just be careful you don't lose yours as we're not the care bear hugging type xD) You know there's a problem when DOOM is your go to to meditate the stresses of Apex away. 😛
I agree S1 KC was much better before town takeovers. Now we're left with an area, a open space, then a new area whereas before it was blended with hot and cold spots that gave you playability during fights and also when 3rd parties turned up to take the heat off.
Footsteps and sound in general are big issues along with the servers or ''netcode'' that is apparently hard to fix because it's a complex environment but they could simple a lot down and remove much of the audio and visual clutter that is unnecessary. If you have to much bogging up the game that is clearly effecting the quality then you should make some cuts to the extra rubbish to streamline the vital and essential parts. Fixes or workarounds have already been suggested but chosen to be ignored or strangely defended as to why things are in their current state.

Here is one of the big things I have noticed with the audio. There is a lot of competing Audio in the game and some of it is very justified. For example if you have LL drone down, you're not going to hear foot steps coming unless they are right on top of you. The audio from the drone should be loud IMO. If it was quiet and difficult to find I'd get sort of annoyed by LL being able to slip away and easily hide/heal.
Some of the other audio that overlaps is unnecessary audio, the kill leader audio has been my death on multiple occasions. But in all honesty, we were already in trouble to begin with.. We were damaged from the fight that just finished and the third party was right on us. The best that could have happened was we run. Possibly throw down a gibi dome and ult and heal slightly but that's about it.
The other thing I have noticed with hearing foot steps. If I have a squad mate that's walking around a ton near me, I start to ignore foot step audio. That or we are all firing off shots and the gun fire from our guns drowns out the foot steps of the enemy.
There is a lot to the audio issues that everyone complains about it. Could it improve? Probably, yes.
