Advice fot beginner
Hi Ive just started playing apex legends and would appreciate if you could offer any advice for a beginner, ive started playing as bloodhound. Is there anything i should be changing in my settings...
Good points, but I maintain that a beginning player should focus on basic mechanics rather than diving into look controls. I do recommend that more advanced players try out ALC once they know what they're doing. My settings, roughly 4-3 (with max extra yaw) and a hybrid response curve, have been very good for me.
Here is a video that Verhulst made comparing his ALC settings to 4-4 Classic, to which he had just returned. As a member of championship winning squad TSM and widely regarded as one of the very top controller players in all of Apex, I think his can be taken as an expert opinion:
One of the settings you should absolutely consider changing right away is a hefty increase of FOV. The default is way too low.
Most good players play on a minimum of 100, but I've settled on 96 myself due to aging eyesight making it harder for me to see people at long range with a very high FOV. 90 would be considered the bare minimum by a vast majority of players, with more leaning closer to 110 than 100.

Some believe they are faster at a higher level. This is false. All players move the same but due to the view distortion at the high levels it feels faster.
It's so that they can see the whole world while they spin at 500-500 pitch/yaw! 😢
