It’s really irritating that it’s been made painfully clear the character creators at Respawn haven’t given a * about the quality of the characters they’re churning out since Loba. Remember when Loba got weeks of PR and fan fair. The character creators did all these interviews talking about the hard work that went into her? Then Rampart gets a release trailer days before she comes out and it’s obvious no one took their time because she sucks. Now we’re on the verge of getting another crappy character no one asked for whom from the look of things has some lame gravity boost ability in this new Horizon character coming out in S7. When the community has been screaming for a Caustic counter character for well over 2 seasons. as if all that weren’t enough. What’s with every character being a female? 3 characters back to back. Which bring the grand total to 8 females 1 robot 1 Symalacrym and 4 males. I’d like to see those numbers evened out a bit. I typically don’t notice things like gender in my video game characters but for some reason this particular occurrence was really in my face and stood out. I think it has a lot to do with Archatypes. In RPGs I like to play the biggest strongest race IE trolls, Ogres, Giants, Barbarians etc. I felt like Rampart should have been a hulking dude with a big * mini gun instead we get a tiny Indian girl. Which a girl that size wouldn’t even be able to drag a Mini gun but whatever. I was honestly excited about the Character we were supposed to get that they pulled a switch atop with Revenant. It be nice to get another 1 or 2 big guys with fortified in the mix with some heavy weapons.

@EA_David Although respawns attitude towards the community has been pretty questionable at times,this instance is certainly not one of those times.Gender is irrelevant in a computer game, it is and should always be a matter of whether the characters SKILL SET fits the player and how much enjoyment they get from using said character.I personally find the whole debate bizarre, why fixate on a non issue when the game is full of actual issues lol. *shrugs*

Here's a twist: more male legends = more males beating females in trailers. Are you sure you want that, you sensitive society? :P

Actually I find it really interesting if not somewhat funny that when there is actual near parity for gender in a game...Somehow it's slighted to favor female characters?Anyway, going to tell you right now, even if it was (it is not), I don't care. I like the concepts for characters in Apex and the stories that go with them. Sometimes they are better than the game itself.

A big dude with personality would be fun but bigger characters have proven to be a problem balance wise.

I'm usually someone to speak out on this sort of stuff, but I'm not so fussed at them releasing female characters, but more from a "interest" standpoint it'd be nice to have a new male character for sake of balance and interest.
My main issue with the "equality" thing, is it seems to be more about attacking and demonizing one small demographic or at the very least encourages and accommodates it.
And let's be against racism (of all kinds), but maybe let's be cautious not to blindly promote a self professed marxist movement with aims of "disrupting the nuclear family" amongst a range of other unrelated causes as their main focus.
As for the chicks in Apex, i think they do well to represent im even some non stereotypical roles...
- army
- healer
- supernatural
- science
- mechanic
- hot thief
Honestly, i think they could maybe do with adding a fortified female; whether she's butch n bulky, or more muscular of sorts.

But it would be good to chuck some new males too for sake of variation.

Female- Loba, Lifeline, Wraith, Wattson, Rampart, Bangalore
Male- Gibby, Caustic, Octane, Mirage, Revenant(male psyche in a synthetic body), Pathfinder(male psyche, even tho he is a robot), Crypto
Non-binary- Bloodhound(you counted Bloth in female)

7 M, 6 F - See it's evened out since you care about that so much

Next season- 7 F, 7 M

@rickyressel........... You know...... There is a caustic counter legend. Crypto. EMP that sucker and boom. No more traps, no more gas daddy. Forge's abilities wouldn't have worked in a gun game. Horizon looks cool, Rampart's abilities are cool as well, and the character is unique. They will add another male character eventually, but they will chose when to do that. I don't care what the gender of the Legends are, just how good their abilities are.
