Possibly, and maybe a small group would start to do it, but they would never be included in the sport with the general population. And if it picked up in numbers they would form their own sport or league.

I see 0 unfairness here towards anyone. You choose your own interest \ destiny.
How about motor sports? Why isnt rest of the F1 drivers ranting around because Max Verstappen has won every race for this seasons calendar so far due to his team building a superior car? Is it fair for other drivers for him to have better car? Yes, in my opinion as he and his team probably spent a lot to make that car and fine tune it to perfection.
In same way MnK can develop their skills. In the previous ALGS champs Top 5 most frags had 3 MnK players.
In casual PvP games there will always be somekind of advantages or disadvantages whether its framerate, ping, movement or aim assist. At ALGS LAN there is only aim assist vs movement cause controller configs are banned.
And to the next counterargument of hours spent to learn similar MnK skills that the controller players might get quicker - Its up to you to decide on what input you want to play in. EA has made the game, its up to you to decide what input to you use.
You want to take the "easy" route or the long route? I plug in my NES controller with only two buttons meaning I can only move, jump and shoot. Or I want to play Apex on a tablet with touchscreen. "Can you please level up the playing field for me now? My fun casual games need competitive integrity!" 😉

Bcs there was always teams and drivers ranting if another team had found a loophole they couldnt "copy" in time.
And the FIA often banned in favor of who cried the loudest (mostly Ferrari)
They banned tech like active suspension and traction control, tech that is very comparable to aim assist (it makes it way easier to control the car, bcs a piece of software helps you with it ... sounds familiar right ?!? ).What brand is most associated with F1? And how that relates to merchandise sales? Even FIA needs to make money. Wake up to the world brotha 🙂.
Its not fair game when money gets involved.
Fortnite took away aim-assist from PC controller and as result they pretty much killed the game for them. Apex is already too small to make that same mistake.Feels like once a month tridents are taken out of the game as someone comes up with an exploit or "loophole" like you put it. So EA is fixing these exploits like FIA banning some techs.
Aim-assist is not a loop hole. Its available for everyone.
- @Airish85 Yeah, what about motor sports? How about we include formula E with F1? Seems like a better comparison. See what the fallout will be then. There are strict rules in who qualifies for joining the formula, as it should be. Point is, different things should warrant different things. Same with boxing or mma or stock cars or whatever. You don't just throw stuff together and hope for the best. There are differences, like the range ones already pointed out here, which is important, actually. In no reality can it be fair. Controller for close range and mouse for medium to long. It's stupid unfair both ways.

F1 might not have been the right reference as so many tries to make twist out of it. In Online PvP there will always be handicaps. Lets say someone with bad internet connection is basically driving the whole F1 race with wrong tires. How is that fair? Oh get a better connection you say. How about buy the input that is apparently so OP.
Point is that Apex dont have enough players as it is. Each input has its pros & *. Making adjustment at this stage could be just enough to worsen player count downward spiral. Which would mean EA pull the plug on the whole game. "At this stage" meaning the fact that Finals as a brand new game just tweaked its aim assist. They can do it as there is still the new game adjusting.Anyone can choose to play on whatever input you want. If you think controller is OP why not switch to it. Same thing for MnK.
- @Airish85 Never said it's op tho. Just that they don't belong together. And why all of a sudden this idea that "it would break the bank" to go back to the way things were? Apex has plenty players, it's free after all. And every player online already knows the advantages for whatever, no need to make it worse.
None of it matters in the end, so for that reason I will omit many things in this reply. But we don't care who is better or worse. We want the same to face the same. Nothing unreasonable about that. Have your own controller comp event's if it's an issue. Otherwise the whole thing was a farce anyway.
