Specifically to imperial hal and genburten. Since saying the word will get this post auto removed, i'm refraining from it but it's obv what it is. Literally in a custom game hosted by ea and this happens infront of hundreds of thousand. This season has been great but mahn, this issue is at the worst. Never ever seen anything like this in esports. It got postponed and lets hope this makes their process of looking into it faster and they fix their issues https://100001.onl/ https://1921681254.mx/
- 2 years ago@satvichit2 I'm very happy with what happened, but don't you suspect that whoever did it wants to reveal some secret to us? or rather make you understand how you actually get to certain levels?

If you have sensitive data on your PC I recommend just uninstall the game and never install it again. Because respawn is pretty low end company, they are not capable of making engine level changes. They can't fix the audio for 3 years and blame the engine, this is the proof they don't have a much idea about what they are doing.
So even they fix this, they would be others. The guy who does this is just do it for fun. If he had malicious intents he could do execute code on everyone plays the game and cause very big problems. It was not a simple cheat, the guy run executables on the PC of the players he choose. So he can install keyloggers, trojans backdoors or anything on your pc if he likes to do so if you just launch the game. He can gain access to every one of your accounts, including the banking or he can steal your credit card.
I don't think I'll ever launch the game again unless they prove they hired a good development team and removed all remote code execution capabilities from the anti-cheat and the game itself.- 2 years ago
I don't think it was done via game itself. If was and hackers can access anyone's PC via game, then EA/Respawn will be in huge trouble.

So, in an ALGs tournament yesterday/today, some of the pro players got hacked mid-game, where they suddenly had aimbot. As far as anyone knows, none of them installed the cheats themselves, as it was a remote hack. HYPERMYST had also advise no one should play Apex right now until EA/Respawn can resolve this issue.
Below is the Apex Esports Twitter posting about how the ALGs is postponed due to this issue.

This is honestly unfortunate, and I hope the season gets extended or something to make up for the time lost. I for one won't be on the game as much, if it means that at any moment I would have to ALT+F4 a ranked match due to a remote hack.
Granted, it should be unlikely to happen to players in pubs, and to those in lower ranks, but honestly if one cheater can remote hack the game, who to say that multiple cheaters can't remote hack the game? Not to mention that since everyone tends to be different, while one might be out to ruin the ALGs, another might be out to ruin other modes in general. Its just not worth getting banned due to someone forcing us to use cheats.
