Build a new map is a lot of works. If you're oke by changing the layout of the places, but the same building maybe is quicker, but I think people expect new map means totally new, different concept, different town, different building, different layout, etc.
Apex map is huge and has so many details, it could take 6-12 months to design, create, test, retweak, polish, etc.
LOL at those demanding solo modes when the majority of the legend abilities are designed around teamplay. Youd just end up with a even smaller meta than in squads.
Also its probably better to improve security before more content. E.G its still possible to disable smokes at the press of a button with a simple config edit. Game breaking flaw there for anyone who isnt abusing it
