Apex Banned 73000 players ... really?

Alright, I don’t want to discuss this at length, I just have one question. If Respawn, or EA, it doesn’t really matter technically really banned 73 thousand players, then why didn’t the player count ...

Playing on ap-southeast-2 server, in gold ranked lobbies, it's still full of cheaters! Either no data/ no badge accounts or low level accounts, with laser beam aim and game awareness/ using wall hacks shredding lobbies consistently every match at least 1 squad with sus players. It's as if the ban hasn't had any affect at all.
