Apex Banned Randomly? ( Wrongful Ban )

I was randomly banned on Apex, I went to play the other day and logged in sense I've only played a couple of times in the last months or so. I went to queue up for a match and got a match only to get booted back to the main screen with a popup saying that the client host account was banned. So I went through the process of submitting a ticket and I'm still waiting on a response. I have spent money on this game and rarely play it anymore only when I get a itch to play it just to log in one day to a banned account. I received a email today stating the reason for the account ban was due to " Cheating ". Never once have I done such a thing nor would I care or have the time to do so. The only thing I've done to this game is change some setting to improve my FPS. Does anyone know if they consider this a "Cheat" to change settings to increase your FPS performance. I dont have a power house PC but do like to try and get 70FPS at least when playing a game this genre. As for what I changed idk exactly what I might have typically just googled " Apex FPS increase " and did what the person on the video had done.

    Hi @girthshaker

    I'm afraid that account bans are not something we can investigate here on Answers HQ. Since you've already reached out to the Terms of Service team that's all you need to do for now. They will review your account and determine if the ban can be overturned.

    Unfortunately we don't have a way to see how long a TOS investigation might take. That can vary depending on how many cases they are currently working through. Hopefully they'll be able to get back to you soon. Keep an eye out on your email for a response.

    @NotArcade

    Try logging out of the EA Help website, then start the case creation process again from the beginning. When you set up the case choose Manage My Account as the topic, then pick Can't Log In as the issue.

    That should let you create a case without actually having to log into the account.

  • I have been playing on PC for quite some time. My account was mysteriously banned for cheating months ago. I have been creating cases for this but have not gotten a response. I don't understand why I was banned in the first place.

    I've had this account since the first month after launch, I've bought all battle passes, and quite a few packs. I've put about 500 hours into it, and play regularly, but casually. I've had 2FA for maybe 6 months to prevent accout hijacking. After my nephew's account got stolen, I've been extra alert to any signs of tampering, but still haven't had a ban. Could be because I've never cheated, exploited, macro'd or scripted in any way or form, idk, but it seems to work.

    Trust noone, not even yourself...

    @Baha-iwnl Sadly no one on these forums even mods can assist you with bans. This needs to be brought up with the TOS team by opening a ticket and contesting the ban.

    @girthshaker I think what happened is that you used an outside program to alter the game, but you "only" used it to adjust the FPS but using outside programs to alter the game in ANY way is a violation of their ToS so next time you play another game I suggest you uninstall that FPS adjuster or you'll get banned again.
  • how long did it take for them to fix this. I just got banned today for no reason what so ever. Im not a cheater nor do I know how to cheat haha. Apex or EA please fix this, come on now.... you can't be doing this .

    Hey @Frizzysea123

    If you've already contacted the Terms of Service team regarding your account, that's all you would need to do for now. They'll investigate and determine if the ban can be overturned. If you haven't yet contacted them you can find more information on how to submit a case over at the EA Help site

    The TOS team reviews these appeals on a case-by-case basis, so the length of an investigation can vary depending on how many cases they are currently working on. Unfortunately we don't have a way to see exactly how long an investigation will take. The TOS team will follow up with you via email as soon as they can, so please keep an eye out for their response.
