Apex has a passive problem
In my opinion, Apex has a passive problem. This is not only about balancing but more of the inconsistency of what a passive ability means in this game. Here's some of my points/arguments: 1. Passive...
Valk is the worst offender in this list. Her Passive is stronger than Path's Tactical, Horizon's Tactical, and Octane's Ultimate put together.
@DankTolietSome time away from the game, and I was thinking how would you still leave Valk good, and using her father's Northstar core, and then I kinda thought of this:
1) The wings are too small for maintained flight. Remove her flight passive, and just turn it into a proper pilot double jump (from the jet assist). Maybe make the second jump a bit longer cause of the size of the pack. Done. Fixed. Still fun mobile, but not just flying.
2) Leave tactical and Ult as is with the exception of...
3) Remove all Scout traits. No more scanning on drop or scanning beacons. She's an attacker.
Done. Fixed. Still freaking fun for those of us that came from Titanfall 2, but no longer required in every squad.
Side Note Update: Wraith's passive can be very good, but if you have a bout of lag or high ping, it's nearly useless. Keep it, but also add, "Slightly Out of Phase" which is just a 5% damage reduction accounting for the fact she's not always all here... Just an idea. Something for her not lag dependent.
