Apex input lag

The new apex update seems to have introduced, along with numerous other issues, some really bad input lag and is mostly apparent on next gen consoles from what I’m seeing. Can this be looked into? Thanks.

    @0v0_legendz

    Thanks for all those details. It's very much appreciated. I have found out that we are currently investigating an issue with input lag on Xbox consoles. When we have an update, that should be announced on our official channels.

  • Will you please do ur job and start troubleshooting the issues on Xbox series X. It’s not our job to fix these issues. If you guys can’t figure out the problem maybe you’re not the right person for your position? It really shouldn’t be 2 seasons without game chat and now input lag for Xbox players. I find this to be unacceptable from a customer’s standpoint and find that Respawn doesn’t care enough to fix these issues. You will definitely hurt yourself in the long run if things don’t change drastically and quickly.

  • @Viarr Yeah I've experienced the same & I'm on XBOX Series X as well. The input lag is bad sometimes it doesn't even register me pressing the button at all...

    @SILVERisSORRY Alphaintel said that plugging your xbox controller to the console helps. Hope all of these xbox bugs get fixed soon for you guys.
  • I’m on Xbox Series X and Apex has been unplayable over the last week, input lag seems like a decent way to explain how it’s currently feeling. It takes 2-3 times as long as it should to perform any action and movement feels really clunky and off, it’s not a fault on my side and every other game I play works just fine.

  • @Cheese9Man I've been doing that and it has helped somewhat, but still get the occasional no reg from button pressing. Very annoying.

    Playing Apex on both PS5 & XBox Series X over the past week or so are both problematic what with input lag etc but it feels a lot worse on the Xbox & the game seems pretty unresponsive at times to boot like when trying to heal etc.I bought my Xbox brand new about a week before the start of season 13 & at times it feels like I'm playing Apex on a broken controller because of the input lag & the unresponsiveness but my controller is just over a month old (like my Xbox) & it plays perfectly on any other game.I found no difference between playing with the controller on wired or wireless just the same issue.

    Youtubers Thordan Smash,J.Meyels & others have commented about a lot of complaints about the issue & Respawn acknowledging at least acknowledging it but as for any fixes is like asking how long is a piece of string.

    @Redmattgame This is true. Though Pav has been good with the responses, I just wish they could give an ETA.

    The Loba tactical is still broken and it’s very annoying if you’re a Loba main. Imagine if this happened to Octane or Wraith, the backlash would be immense.
  • Getting pretty frustrated now, and it’s rather obvious many many other console users are feeling the same. Not been able to play Apex on Xbox for close to 2 weeks now because it’s pointless playing such a high response competitive shooter when your game feels completely disjointed. I know these fixes can be complicated but it’s getting a bit silly now.
