That little ban wave changed absolutely nothing. Ranked somehow feels even worse now.
I’m seeing more Preds than Diamonds in Diamond lobbies, and the “solo queue” experiment is a joke. Preds are still finding ways to queue together, so the people actually solo queuing are the ones getting punished.
The ranked system is still broken. If you’re going to ban cheaters, great—but fix the matchmaking too. Right now it just feels like the same problems with a different headline.

I understand why it feels that way. If Ranked still feels this rough after the recent ban wave, I can see why that would be frustrating.
There was a recent update from the Anti-Cheat Team mentioning that a new detection system had already removed over 1,000 accounts in its first week, including Xim and Titan users, and that this work is ongoing rather than a one-time action. So the anti-cheat side is still actively being worked on.
That said, I also understand your point that banning cheaters alone doesn’t automatically fix the overall Ranked experience if matchmaking and solo queue still feel off.

Sorry, we all know that account banning does absolutely nothing but stall the cheaters for the 10 minutes it takes to create a new account. Zeus claimed you are hardware banning some ranked players - do this for all cheaters and this problem will finally be solved. And yeah, you'll lose 10K players permanently, but when word gets out that Apex is fair again, people will come back.
idea of solo q is great. But execution is horrible from your part. preds against diamonds (who only can play with randoms)

Just to mention, there was a recent update from the Anti-Cheat Team confirming that using things like jitter aim or RC filters to manipulate aim assist or recoil is now being treated as cheating, and that accounts caught using those kinds of exploits can be banned.
So this is something the team is actively taking action on. That said, I also understand your point that anti-cheat progress alone doesn’t automatically fix the wider Ranked experience if matchmaking and solo queue still feel off.
