What platforms can I install and play Apex Legends on?
Apex Legends is available on PC (via the Steam and Origin launchers), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Is Apex Legends coming to Nintendo Switch?
Yes, Apex Legends will be playable on the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
Is cross platform play available in Apex Legends?
Yes, cross platform play is available in Apex Legends, and is enabled by default.
Can I disable cross platform play?
Yes, you can disable cross platform play.
On PlayStation 4, visit Options in-game, and find "Cross-Platform Play" under the gameplay tab.
On Xbox One, you will have to visit the settings of your system to disable cross platform play.
You cannot disable cross play on PC, as far as I am aware.
How does cross platform play work?
If you are playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One and cross platform play is enabled, you will only be matched with players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, unless you are partied with a PC player, in which case you will be matched with both console and PC players.
If you are playing on PC via whichever launcher, you will be matched with other PC players and console players partied up with PC players.
Is cross progression supported in Apex Legends?
Cross progression is supported only on PC, so your account progress is saved across both Origin and Steam.
Cross progression is not supported from PlayStation to Xbox (and vice versa) or PC to Xbox/PlayStation (and vice versa).
At the moment there is no information on cross progression coming to more platforms in the future.
What is a club?
Clubs are small groups in Apex Legends where members can chat, play together and have a great time. Players can:
- Create clubs
- Find clubs
You can only be in one club at a time.
How do clubs work?
Players can create a public or invite-only club.
Anybody can search for and join a public club. Some public clubs can have a setting applied where people who want to join must submit a request before being given access.
An invite-only club cannot be searched for. Members can only join if invited by the Owner or an Administrator, making it perfect for a large group of your friends.
There are four ranks in a club:
Owner - There is only one of these in a club and by default is the creator of the club. Owners have full control over the club, and club ownership can be passed over to other members.
Administrator - Can only be appointed by an Owner. Can promote Grunts to Captains, kick members, send announcements and read reports on other club members.
Captain - Can invite other members and spread the word to other players
Grunt - The entry rank. Grunts can chat, play with other members and have basic abilities
Owners and Administrators can send announcements for the rest of the club to see, for example:
"We'll be playing Ranked tomorrow at 3PM GMT. All welcome!"
Members can file complaints on other members. Complaints can be read by Owners and Administrators who can take necessary action.
The creator of the club is prompted to create a clan tag for the club. The tag of your club is visible to all other players and is displayed next to your user name in-game.
For example, if the tag of your club is "RSPN", and your user name is CompleatBeet_963, your name would show as [RSPN]CompleatBeet_963.
Clubs match your cross play setting, so if you have disabled cross play, players from other platforms cannot find or join your club.
Is there skill based matchmaking in Apex Legends?
Yes, there is skill based matchmaking in Apex Legends. This means that you will be matched up with players of a similar skill level to yours.

What are heirloom sets and how do I unlock them?
Heirloom sets are extremely valuable and rare cosmetic items for your Legends. Each set consists of a melee weapon, an intro or kill quip and a banner pose, all of which are exclusive to the sets. Currently there are sets for Wraith, Bloodhound, Lifeline, Pathfinder, Octane, Mirage and Caustic, and more are on the way.
Heirloom sets can be crafted with 150 Heirloom Shards each. Heirloom Shards are only obtainable as very rare drops from Apex Packs.
Whenever you open an Apex Pack, you have an <1% chance to open a bonus pack containing enough Heirloom Shards to craft a set. There is bad luck protection built in, so you are guaranteed a shards drop within every 500 packs you open.
