Regarding Gold weapons:
A lot of the gold guns don't have favorable attachments for most of us. I liked gold volt but I hate having to use a 1x digital threat scope. So my idea is that you have them be interchangeable so it can be a custom gold weapon fit to the user.
I could just say what I've seen mentioned before and be like we need a 2x bruiser digital threat and 2x-4x digital to bridge the gap but why not take this further?
Originally I was thinking okay you could swap out attachments and basically strip the weapon. I.e you find a gold havoc but you've got a volt so take all of the attachments off and switch them onto your volt. That way you could even share attachments amongst your squad.
Then I considered balancing it somehow if that was too much say you take an attachment off (the gold gun) and it turns purple.
Back to the custom gold weapon idea (I was rambling a little 😃) you should be able to replace something you don't like on the gun for something you do. This kinda links in with what I mentioned higher up. Say you have a volt with a 1x digi and you want it to be a 2x bruiser you should be able to equip the sight you want. Hell make it so you can drop the digital threat 1x (it turns into a 1x holo sight as ground loot) and this turns the 2x Bruiser into a 2x Bruiser with digital threat. This could be repeated for any sight you wanted giving you the best version of the gun for YOU. It's kind of a buff for gold weapons and you would be implementing more digital threat sights. So three skin suits with one bullet!
