Awhh yes, Respawns lovely balancing act continues on..... 

“well that was fun match while it lasted”

This has become a mantra of sorts. It applies to about 90% of matches regardless of which mode you're in. Octane is only the latest in an ever-growing list of game-crippling decisions Respawn has made because they think that 10% of players having a lot of fun is somehow worth the trade off of the other 90% constantly quitting matches or moving on to other games.

I saw a streamer the other day say something about how the population is back up this season, and I hope that's so, but you certainly couldn't prove it by me. Matchmaking is disastrously bad, something that usually doesn't happen in this game until the population has dwindled to a very low level. And the gameplay and balancing decisions, like Octane, defy all logic. I can't understand how anyone could be having any fun in this game this season unless they cheat.

So, having re-installed on my PS4 because I am a sucker for Gundam, and just wanted to see what luck gave me for the free crap (hint- blues, but hey, I could grind for a free Char skin for the new character I hate... so... ) and I missed what they did to Octane in the 4 (maybe 5) seasons I been gone...  and... had to go all the way back to the Showdown patch notes and... 

... Well, I am confused. I don't see any major rework of Octane since I been gone. Is it just that all the other changes since (cause in a game like this, nothing is in a vacuum) has made his abilities so much easier to abuse, or have people found a way to cheat by hacking his packet latency when in crackhed mode? 

It’s very small in game patches like his stim time and cool downs and how fast he moves when stimmed as well as nerfing other legends to be pointless. Matchmaking is an absolute disaster especially in ranked. Whether it’s being the only person on a team or wondering how your teammates are even in this rank. I agree it has gotten some what better but the streamers who over hype it are just glazing it to the max because it’s A what they stream and B probably play one of the legends who is favored and given more buffs than nerfs for no reason. The community will ask for work on one legend and they’ll do the slightest bit and then super buff either Octane, Alter and or Valk. Once you get up in rank if one of those legends isn’t on the team it’s almost a guarantee loss.
