Apex legends abandon penalty

Hey all, 

Let's cool it with the personal attacks here. I get this is a controversial topic. Everyone isn't going to agree on something like an abandon penalty, and that's OK. People can have different opinions and discuss how they feel about this, but we need to make sure we're doing so without pointing fingers and insulting one another or the devs. If it continues I'll have to lock this thread.

@SpyrosFPS No, you can not leave if they not bring it to beacon. I made it today and got banned. I have now like more than 400 minutes. So they add more minutes to your bann if you leave game again. It is just stupid idea. [Admin - Removed]

it takes two min if your knocked and not thirsted. it's one min when knocked and another min when waiting for your banner timer to run out.

it's not 5 min that I can assure you.

I tested this out with my lap top stopwatch and made my self land in a heavy populated area Train station.

And stood there until knocked then started my timer it was 1 min and then reset it and did the the grab banner timer it was 58 sec's, I added 2 secs because I had to reset my timer.

I just don't understand, why i must sit there with team of campers, who just not move and always sit till the end wher only 2 squad left and then they just die instantly. Like waiting more than 20 boring minutes just to die in the end. What a horrible punishment. But if you leave your bann expands, what a beautiful idea.

Its a team game, playing with randoms is the worst sometime. The object of the game is to win, I hardly play ranked because of the frustrating teammates. If you don't want to get a penalty don't leave until you see the squad wipe screen for all your team and can go see that your team is wiped.

Or find a group of people to play with. It is frustrating, to avoid a penalty just don't leave your team hanging you never know the out come.

I mean 2,5 min after your banner is green Deliver to Beacon and then leave.
You haven't tested this.

It's a situation where they pick up your banner but they don't respawn you for whatever reason... or there isn't any respawn beacon left on the map.

if they take your banner and dont respawn you just spam the beacon button and at least annoy them until they do or the game ends! haha much laughs.

They loaded me in ranked solo so I quit before the drop even started n still got a penalty wtf
