I think that cross-platform for Apex Legends would be a huge thing for the Apex community. I’ve had multiple friends and others tell me “I wish it was cross platform so we could run together” and i also feel the same way. There could be an EA Or Respawn menu for you to add friends based on your EA or Respawn account. I hope to see this in affect soon thank you for taking the time to review my opinion. It would suck to be qued in with PC players as a console player . A lot of ppl just wouldnt play anymore. It sucks they're making it cross platform and i probably won't be playing much after that. I think only PC players would want cross platform.
Starting playing the game on PS4 but switched to PC (still using controller lol) and would love to be able to play with my console buddies. Also really miss be able to play with my friends who are using Xbox, that was a major reason I played Fortnite for so long. When I made the switch I settled for not having cross-progression but cross-play is a must!

But you are SO interested in playing this with your friends you are unwilling to pay either less than 250 new or like 150 used for a console plus 35 bucks a year for PlayStation access.

Bad idea! Console players will be at massive disadvantage vs much faster PC gamers. This is a fast paced battle royale, where reaction and aim is the key, and most console players won't be able to keep up or stand vs even an average pc gamer. People who advocate it are PC gamers who want easy kills :D
@Hugatreedamnit @TrancyGoose Idk, a lot of streamers have shown that the game can be played with a controller very well. I am aware many, many smaller streamers have been exposed and banned, but the bigger controller players are constantly being checked out by twitch, have a 'natural sway' in their aim, miss plenty of shots, have a lot to lose, and have the controller on their screen. This is specifically unique for bigger streamers, so I think it's like a .001% chance in their case. Just my own analysis 😃
Point is, a good time to consider cross-platform seriously (imo) would be when cheaters finally .. finally die down. That would be a real nice reunion at that time, I have some friends I could join up with. I used to think we had a sort of advantage (mouse) but there are some amazing players that have changed my mind. Consoles are built for gaming, so I'm sure there's some incredible built-in software, to assist with sens and what-not. Definitely shouldn't be a concern for you guys on console, you can definitely keep up by finding the right sens- but I do understand you don't want to play with cheaters.
@Alec31301There isn't a correct answer to which platform is better, since it all comes down to personal preference. But, the amount of wreckage console players will take from PC players is going to be undeniably heavy.
It's extremely unfair for a console player to match against a PC player. Consoles have their games that they're good for, but certainly not FPS games. It will never come close to PC FPS simply because of the controls (and other aspects like frame rate, resolution, screen/monitor's refresh rate if you want to look deeper into it). Joysticks create slow-responsive and floaty movement. Aiming like that just can't be fast and accurate enough

True but for me it would be $200 for an XIM adaptor so I can still use keyboard mouse as I’m hopeless with a controller on FPSs. Second a used xbox for $150 and then $60-$100 per year for xbox live. Now you’re starting to talk about a bit of money when I just want to casually game with my mates every now and then

I'm not playing on ps4 anymore if it goes cross platform. PC players love to complain about aim assist on console but as someone who does both, console is at a disadvantage and everyone knows it. Aiming is much harder on controller and movement is much more limited.. obviously I don't need to point out how much being good at Apex relies on aiming and movement. The other issue is the sheer power of PC hardware.. If I'm playing on my 2080ti 9900k 64gb ddr4 PC and my 240hz 1080p monitor, obviously I'm going to have much more up to date, or shall I say up to second, information giving me a HUGE advantage in gunfights and in landing more shots over a console that's capped at 60fps and isnt even usually getting that.. If it were just an option to have cross platform available for nights when you don't care and you just want to play with your pc friends but have no money for a comouter, then that's fine. That's aaalllll you. But cross platform with PC should always jsut be an option if it's there at all. Cross platform between consoles makes perfect sense though as they're soooo close to the same that it doesnt even matter. It's silly that xbox and ps4 aren't cross platform on everything. It's really neat that you use streamers as an example of controller users..... most gamers are not streamers and we arent taking the most wonderful of the pack as an example of the entire pack.
