Apex legends input lag issues

Tried running apex in windowed mode, no u wont get the input lag because we have mpo now. Search it.

But running it in windowed mode made it so much smoother, the only downside is that even tho it says 144fps for 1 second it starts to lag (stuttering) then its gone.

if anyone could try this out in firing range too? To see i’m not spacing lol.

My guess is that this game is handling fullscreen not as good then other games.

I have been running the game in windowed mode for ages because as you say it runs a bit smoother for some reason. IDK know why but anything that is not against the ToS that will help the game run smoother for me or anyone else is just one big plus in my eyes.

Sorry I did not suggest this to you before as I just did not think about that because I have been doing that since like the middle of season 1  

I tried running every game i play in windowed and they all see too feel smoother, aiming is so much better but the only thing i noticed in apex when u are in windowed is that the framerate dips for a second even tho in right top corner it always says ar 144fps even when that happens, might be a bug or something @Asmodeus566 

Also noticed that running any game in fs it feels like everything is zoomed in, like low fov but thats prob monitor related then game related. In windowed it isn’t zoomed in. I have the aoc 24g2u and in the osd there is a option aspect ratio its set to wide and i cant change it at all. 

Is this only occurring in Apex? Then there is your answer if it does.

To me, it runs bad regardless of platform or hardware or time of day anyway, so bad game whenever I play it.

Some are sensitive to it and some are not, hence why some complain and some don't - some people are just unaware to certain issues but praise the game regardless.

I always notice Apex's everything is trash when I come from playing Fortnite ( Apex feels cheap).

Makes perfect sense then. This game is notoriously bad regarding performance. Guys like Shroud instantly feel it, as he has stated in some of his streams, I feel it too. Nothing to be done about it except adapt which I am exceedingly growing against. In 2024 things should work correctly imo, if Fortnite can do it so can they.

And don't get me started on the quality of gunplay in this game. It is absolute garbage. Some would disagree but coming from Destimy or Fortnite or even Doom it is absolute truth.

@9zof3r661s77 Quick edit on my previous comment. Back when apex hosted a twitch tournament I remember that aceu or itztimmy saying that their game felt incredibly 'sluggish'. If i can find the vid i will definitely share it!

Definitely servers, cuz sometimes my games feels way better, especially at times where people dont play alot. During the night or early morning's 

Input lag definitely bites hard on this game at times & can make the game feel clumsy & unresponsive particularly when opening loot chests or just picking loot from the ground when you have the loot goblins breathing down your neck (teammates or enemies) & when enemies are firing at you when all you are trying to do is pick up that critical loot up before running for cover.And I agree it also plays around with shot accuracy when you are certainly hitting targets but little to no hit reg is the result.I also find when I'm in the midst of receiving bullet damage whilst running for clear cover seconds later whilst in cover I'm still getting damaged.Input lag also heavily disrupts the game when in a hot spot or busy area when there are a fair amount of players on the screen.The main culprit for the input lag are the low tick 20hz servers which are among the lowest rated servers used among the majority of online multiplayer games play on. I would also lay a portion of the blame on the game engine Apex runs on the Unreal 4 engine which is well over a decade old where Apex just feels like it's buckling at the seams.Despite this fact that Respawn have stated that there is no plan for the foreseeable to upgrade to a newer engine as they continue to work with the Unreal 4 engine among the different studios even though a lot of other multiplayers have moved onto Unreal 5.I'd also lay a portion of the blame with the whole discrepancy over frame rates where PC players can enjoy 120fps/hz a mere double that is available to us (next) console players still on a lowly 60fps/hz (Switch players still on 30fps/hz) that despite there currently being a performance issue in the game for console players that has been in the game a while now where the are significant frame rate drops throughout that can drop to as low as 30fps/hz.
