Apex Legends on Steam Deck

Valve has announced Steam Deck. It's a handheld Console/PC that runs Steam games.

What about playing Apex Legends on it? What will be the aim assist setting on it?

You are so excited about the Steam Deck, aren't you? 🤔

Me too. Still we have 2 months for that though.

(I suppose I can't get one on this December because many people want it.)

Technically speaking, we can play Apex Legends on it.

The setting will be similar to the PC maybe?

Time will give an answer to that question.

By the way, I recommend the Jedi Fallen Order.

    That is the good game.

  • Running the game isn't the problem.

EA/Respawn not doing a grand total of  6 clicks in the developer's portal of their EAC software and thus enabling support for wine/proton (which the Steam Deck uses)

  • @EA_Atic , harder than for BattleEye games (for BattleEye you just send an email).

Well anyways, is it on the TODO list? Steam Deck release is very soon.

  • not as easy as people think? Let me quote the dev.epicgames website

"To make it easy for developers to ship their games across PC platforms, support for the Wine and Proton compatibility layers on Linux is included. Starting with the latest SDK release, developers can activate anti-cheat support for Linux via Wine or Proton with just a few clicks in the Epic Online Services Developer Portal."

Were days away from steamdeck launch and yet we still havent heard a peep about Apex being supported Via proton.
Are we to believe its so challenging to enable that it wont be ready for launch?
If so get ready for some dropped con-current player counts.
