apex legends restarts my pc

Hey,

I get random PC restarts when playing your game (the only game it happens on) after playing for 10-20 minutes, all my other games run without any issues, i've tried Apex Legends on origin and steam with the same issue happening, any chance you can roll out a update to fix the problem? It is literally unplayable

Ryzen 7 5800X @ stock
Corsair Hydro H100i V2 AIO 240mm
MSI x570 Tomahawk WiFi (latest bios & chipset drivers)
Patriot Viper Steel 16gb 3200mhz (2x 8gb)
MSI Gaming X 5700XT (latest drivers)
Corsair RM850x PSU
Windows 10 Pro x64 (fully updated)

Just an update since yesterday for people with the same problem in case this works for them as its worked for me, at least so far anyway with no crashes/restarts

I have a 1440p 75hz monitor and when i play apex at 1440p i get crashes/pc restarts etc, i fixed this by changing in-game resolution to 1920x1080 and i set my fps to 75 (not sure if i needed to set an fps cap, haven't tried without) but seems to work good so far since yesterday with zero crashes so hopefully for people reading this with the same problem this method fixes your issues!

Will post back if it crashes again

just a question do you guys use dual display cables? I tried that with 2K and 4K with 144fps overclocking setups using dual display cables and that made my setup exceptionally unstable and apex took down my pc pretty consistently on the 30xx series.

  • More update, I tried to change Performace and Energy in Win10 Setting from "Best performance" to "Best Energy savings". My Apex game no more crash. I don't know why but let try it if it help to you

  • Finally I found some reason, my last comment you can see I changed performance and energy to "Best Energy savings" or try to use 2 cable PCIE for GPU but my PC still shutdown and restart while I'm playing Apex Legend though other tasks is okay.
I found posts on reddit some one have problem same as me and they told that if your PSU is fine may be PC crashing from your cable Y (PCIE cable for GPU) sometime your cable used long time it will be dirty or rust and it will not supply enough power for GPU.

    So after all I changed:
    - New PCIE cable for GPU and just use only one 6+2 pin cable Y
    - Change other port PCIE connector in PSU (my PSU is corsair RM1000x and I've been using it for 5 years)
It will be no more crash, hope it help to you

  • no fix works.. apex crashes to desktop when launched or while playing pc shuts down to restart whenever launched. when graphics drivers and win11pro updated#

  • just tried loading apex after a week of having these same problems, still happens after i tried everything you and the reply's suggested, working with ryzen 5 5600X, msi b550 tomahawk motherboard, 32gb corsair vengeance rgb pro, gtx 1660 ti 4gb and an rtx 3060 12gb with corsair vengeance 850w power supply. cards have been updated and everything is nearly brand new, thought it was an overheat problem till i spawned over 100 rex's on ark and it ran 90fps cap (cap set at 90)  and Hogwarts legacy working at 90fps (also capped at 90) so not sure if its the game or my pc still not being good enough for a game it ran fine not even a month ago
