PS5 player here. If consoles get a FPS jump then it makes perfect sense to reduce the AA. As the performance between console and PC begins to even out, it makes no sense for there to be two different AA values.
The problem with the recent AA mishap is that it “wasn’t intentional” and made known to us. I wasn’t losing fights because I need AA to hit shots, I was losing fights because my thumbs are use to specific settings.
I’m sure that the bulk of console players would adjust to .4 AA if given enough time.

I would love to play Apex at higher frame rate, having recently upgraded tv to one with 120hz support it is a mostly good and noticeable difference. I am skeptical about whether it would be possible without destroying the resolution given the Titanfall 2 resolution at 120fps but that is a game that uses FPS boost and is not optimized for next gen, hopefully apex would be fully optimized. Fingers crossed for something before the new year.
