- @rudness-is-cheap actually it's utterly unfair as preds 90% of times come in stacks.
rarely to see randoms in pred lobbies.
but .....I do now understand the point of it.
it's as simple as that, if you can not fight them then you don't join them.
I believe the solution is to separate solo queuers from 3 stacking, which is an impossible thing to do.
so nothing can be done, either you rise up to their level or just sit in the rank that you earned.
the best solution is to find good consistent teammates and level up your gameplay and get that sweet rank that you deserve 🙂
Ps: am not a pred or a very good player, not even close - @maximas1986 it's not that it's impossible it's just that respawn is scared of trying it. Literally every game out there that considers itself competitive often has a separate queue for solo and full squads. Only in apex have I seen a rank system where solo players can get matched with full squads.
- @Daze623 you are right but it's impossible to do for pred rank because they set only 750 of them so matchmaking will take ages to start a match.
they made this rank so prestigious that only a very very few can get to it (most of them are cheaters) 🙂.
so that's the price we are the ones who are paying unfortunately

As for other games, 60 player lobbies is harder to fill compared to your usual 5v5 multiplayer games.
this can all be resolved by increasing the amount of masters or even preds. It's not that complicated. If there were say 5K masters and 1K preds, instead of 500 and 750 respectively, there wouldn't be an issue of having to pull diamond players into their lobbies. If there is, then maybe pull diamond 1 or 2 only. If you're masters, diamond 1 or 2, you shouldn't complain about playing against preds. If you're at that place in the game, obviously you're a good player and shouldn't shy away from the challenge. Also, if they kill a pred, they would be awarded more points. But, I think 5K masters and 1K preds should be plenty to have decent que times.
- HappyHourSumwur3 years agoSeasoned Ace@swift07 The data they showed at the beginning of this season showed far less upper ranked players than before & they made only minor changes to the system. I think the distribution across ranks is what they want but feels very thin at the top to me.
@HappyHourSumwuryes, that is the issue. Why don't they distribute as a percentage of the playerbase who falls into what rank. If there are 500K people playing ranked, make preds top .05% and masters 10% or whatever. Currently, people are not able to reach masters because they don't have enough points, but if it was percentage, it would fill up.
- @swift07 I think the OP would still complain tho. He would be the masters player who dies to better masters players and preds.
I do agree tho the MM was a lot better before season 13 when it was easier to climb. - CCbathwater3 years agoSeasoned Ace
Wdym? It's perfectly fair. 😂😂
(From ImperialHal's twitter)
- @hayhor The OP said he got demoted from diamond to plat. So there's a good chance they won't be masters if it was 10%. They could do less than 10% as well and I think there will be enough people to fill pred/masters lobbies.
