Yes, it does suck. What did you expect? They never adressed the key issues this game has.
I suppose the idea was to prevent people from hot dropping and dying immediately. Also they wanted to weed out unskilled players and force them to stay in low ranks instead of slowly climbing to where they do not belong.
But these changes did not change anything. It is the same godly frustrating experience for the majority of players.
I was watching a random stream today. The title was something like 'bronze to predator solo q'. The stream had 0 viewers until I joined. Obviously the guy was a smurf, he had only starting legends unlocked. He was in silver 1 when I joined. And he was destroying everyone. Now guess who his teammates were? He got 2 ppl with diamond trails in silver 1. What chance do real silver players have against this ream? NONE.
That's the reason i hate premades cowards!. These Streamers are weak gamers.
This is where you are mistaken those diamond players with diamond trials are most likely hardstuck d4 and slowly climbed their way to that rank and do not deserve it with this new system as they would most likely hover around plat or even gold. When the ranked system sorts itself out this will not be as bad due to the fact the higher skilled players will eventually leave your deserved rank and will then enter their deserved rank.

The new system is for playing safely while not made for rats, this is because you need kills to gain points, and also, the better you place in the top 20 in the game, the more points you earn. This makes it more similar to the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) style, where people fight necessary fights while trying to avoid silly fights, and then they can play zone. Ranked should not be a system where you can easily get to a rank. It should be hard and not some speed run.
Er a Diamond IV is a Diamond. You mean they don’t deserve a masters trail.
A hard stuck Diamond was a Diamond from plat iii and above. You don’t get to Diamond otherwise. Just like a Diamond iii is a masters player who just hasn’t gotten to masters yet.
I don’t know where you get the crazy ethic from. People really are the rank they actually are.
