Apex Ranked

I always thought ranked was where you go when you want to know how you stack up against other players. Not a question I need answered, but I can see how some people might find entertainment in that.

Then I realized it's where you go if your personal psychology allows you to find unreachable goals to be motivational.

Then I realized it's where you go so predators/cheaters can destroy you until they rank up out of your bracket. Then three minutes later they're back on a secondary. Repeat ALL SEASON LONG. That's all ranked is anymore is cheaters and secondaries. Anxiety with no potential for relief or fun. Unless you stack. But probably not even then.

At least in pubs you can quit at any time when you realize that the match is hopeless, pointless, or just not fun. This game has hit the point in its lifespan where you have to take personal responsibility for wresting the fun out of it, and for turning your back on it when it makes clear that the match is for the entertainment of other people and that you're only there to be someone else's set up. Which in ranked seems like just about always.
