Apex Team ignores keyboard and mouse input on consoles?

I've installed and uninstalled the game several times, and it's always for the same reason: there comes a point where keyboard and mouse players are overwhelmingly superior, and it's incredibly frustrating not being able to match their skill level no matter how many hours I practice. And despite all the time and complaints, the Apex team hasn't implemented a keyboard and mouse option on consoles.
