Cant say I ever predators in a plat lobby when I used to play ranked though.
You would think there shouldn't be any whatsoever in a plat lobby now though, especially with the introduction of master.

I agree with this statement and the rest of your post.
I wasn't saying it's right, all I'm saying playing on Ps4 I played In a plat lobby with tons of preds in season 4 I had a plat 1 player and a gold 3 teammate while I was plat 4 and experienced 5 teams as preds.
It hasn't been changed up until now, I feel it won't ever be changed. Even though being a plat is hard enough with out having to worry about Preds. then again we will be playing against masters which is pretty much playing against Preds.
Maybe this is the reasoning because Master didn't come in until around season 4. That is why its been left alone, the original programming of ranked was bronze, silver, gold, Platinum, Diamond, Predator.
