At what point did you realize “this will be my main?”

I love playing lifeline, got the game a few months ago and I kinda just decided to make her. All my friends talk * tho cuz she’s not very good and Newcastle is probably better but I love her kit. When did y’all know you wanted to main someone?

  • pretty much the first time i ever used fuse, even though he was very weak and needed buffs the playstyle just spoke to me

    personally was hoping he would be a brutal warlord kinda personality but i have grown to really love his personality too, just wish there was a bit more mad max in his design

    wasnt even a huge fan of his passive(the double grenade part, love the launcher) it was his knuckle clusters that sold me, first time i used his ult i actually got a team wipe but that is not common

    @rdgcuervo

    "his voice lines are fun and his movement is the best."

    I completely forgot about his outstanding quips because I haven't played him since s14. "* off, scablander!" "There's a charge tower over there. Charge 'em up! That's a thing I say. Starting now." I could go on all night.

    I love how they can say "* off" IN THE GAME, but we can't say it here in the forums!!!

  • @k8gawo6epx7x Before I knew Octane was the legend for me, I've mained Bloodhound for a couple of seasons, then Bangalore for several but then Octane was just the one for me. His kit is basic but somewhat effective. It just depends on your playstyle. I like to be the entry fragger but not the type that just wants to push everyone and die which is why there's a stigma on him. For me, especially when solo queuing, being fast gives me the option and opportunity to help those teammates that might have spaced out from the team as well as being mobile and slippery. I don't think there's any legend that is superior or inferior. They are all great in the right hands. It all just depends on your understanding of the legend. So continue to play LL if that's what makes you happy.
  • I have three that I gravitate to because they help me be effective in helping my team.

    Wraith - the most powerful team work use of the tunnel is to shoot from a high position above my teammates and tunneling down to them if they get knocked, leading them back up to a safe place to revive.

    Loba - I open the shop as often as possible, because my team can setup much faster and better for our next encounter.

    Bloodhound - his Ult allows me to run ahead of my team, blazing the trail and looking for enemies as well as helping them see enemies better as well. His tactical is also great when I come at our enemy from a flanking position to misdirect them from my team to me.

    Each of these helps me contribute effectively to my team. Other legends have great abilities, but I haven't mastered them to be able to help my team as much as I can with these three.

  • my start was with Bang then I figured that I have an aggressive play style, I was always on the front lines and usually I'm the one who receives most of the damage and the last one alive.

    at that time lifeline had a 25% faster healing plus the revive shield so I switched to Lifeline and she was my main since then.

    I know that Lifeline is not the right legend for an aggressive style and she needs to stay at the back and be defensive but I had to manage and switch from attack to defense depending on the situation.

    so the main reason to chose her was for the faster healing, by the time they removed her passive I was already hooked and stuck so I didn't change.

    a lot of my friends tell me that I am wasting my time with Lifeline and i should change but i will not ditch my girl 🙂
